After defeating him, you’ll havea challenging encounter with the Lightreaper, and it’s likely that you won’t survive. This will return you to the Vestige.
Head back to the boss arenaandgo to the right side, where you’ll discover a cliff with a piece of loot. Collect this loot to obtain theFlayed Skin.

Although you may spot another piece of loot on the opposite side of the cliff, you can’t reach it at this point. You can return to pick it up later.

How To Get To Paladin’s Burden Boss Fight
The arena is nearby from the last Stigma that you interacted with.
Descend from the hill and follow the way to the right side, and you’ll come across a similar hill to the first one. Here, you will encounterGentle Gaverus and her hounds.
It’s essential to defeat her first because she can still attack you while you’re in the boss arena.
On theleft side of the hill, whilestill in Umbral, you can interact with a Soulflay item. This item will create a bridge leading to the arena boss. Cross the bridge, and you’ll find another Isaac Stigma. When youSoulflay it,it triggers a boss fight against Paladin’s Burden.
This fight is fairly standard and not overly challenging. Wait for your opening and strike two or three times, then step back. The Paladin’s attacks are predictable and should be easy to avoid.
Keep an eye out for his lightning radiant spell, which releases bolts of lightning that strike repeatedly on the ground.
After defeating him, you’ll obtain theUmbral-Tinged Flayed Skin, which allows you to acquire Isaac’s equipment.
How To Get Paladin Isaac Equipment
To obtain Paladin Isaac’s equipment, return to the area where you initially collected the Flayed Skin at Defiled Sepulchre. Enter Umbral, and you’ll come acrossa large doorthat was previously inaccessible.
Interact with this door, and you canuse the Umbral-Tinged Flayed Skin to unlock it. This will reveal a bridge leading down to a corpse containing the following items.
This step isn’t essential for advancing the quest; it’s mainly for obtaining Isaac’s equipment.
Completing Paladin Isaac Quest And Unlocking The Dark Crusader Class
Now, for the final step, you mustreach Upper Calrathand head to thelarge arena ahead just before the beacon, where you’llface the Lightreaperonce and for all. If you’ve been following the quest as intended,Isaac will become available as a summonfor this boss fight.
This is the very important step:You’ll need to summon him and then defeat the Lightreaper.
There’s a good chance you won’t see the summon when you first trigger this boss. To find Isaac’s summon, allow the Lightreaper to defeat you, and then go back. You should be able to spot Isaac’s summon just before the moth barrier.
It’s important to note thatIsaac doesn’t need to stay alive throughout the entire fightsince you only need to summon him for this boss battle. Don’t worry if he dies midway through the fight because that’s likely to happen.
After defeating the Lightreaper, you’ll receivea prompt indicating that you’ve unlocked the Dark Crusader class.
By successfully completing Paladin Isaac’s quest in Lords of the Fallen, you’ll earn theVengeful Reflection Trophy/Achievement.
