Paleo Pineshas all sorts of dinosaurs both big and small living across its three biomes. You can befriend and ride a T.rex that can help you break logs, or ride a speedy Utahraptor that can carry you wherever you need to go, and clear debris on your farm.

Some dinosaurs may not be big enough for you to ride on, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t an important source of help, off and on the farm. Small dinosaurs like the Coelophysis or the Compsognathus can help you on the farm by planting seeds, re-tilling dirt, and even harvesting crops for you.

How To Obtain The Seed Pot

AfterShenanigan, which occurs during the season ofJurassos, you’ll be offered a new quest fromAverybefore he leaves Pebble Plaza.

He’ll give you a new placeable item called theSeed Pot, and tell you about its function: whenplaced down near farmland, you may assignsmall dinosaurswhich have theTender skillto help tend the land.

To complete the quest, you’ll simply have toplace and assign a dinosaur to it,thenspeak to Averyagain.

Completingit unlocks the ability topurchase additionalSeed Pots atMarlo’s stall, and both theMedium and Large variantscan be obtained as soon as the quest has been finished.

How To Use The Seed Pot

First, take the Seed Pot andgo to placeit down like you would any other furniture. When near any farmland, you’ll see asmall orange seed-like symbolover anysquare of tilled land it covers.

After you’ve placed it, you’ll need tofill it with seeds, and any seed can be put inside itexcept for tree and bush seeds. Dinosaurs will take from theleft-most slotfirst, and they’ll plant seedsanywherein their Seed Pot’s range, butnota particular order.

Seed Potscan be usedby a total oftwelve dinosaursthat can be foundacross all three biomesin the game, and who have the Tender skill.

Archaeopteryx, Compsognathus, Deinonychus, Oviraptor, and Microraptor

Ariacotta Canyon

Dimetrodon, Protoceratops, Troodon, and Velociraptor

One of theeasiestof these dinosaurs to obtain is theCoelophysis, as you’ll need to tame one forMari’s quest, Runaway Raptor.

Once you’ve got both a Seed Pot and a Tender Dinosaur,go to any farmlandyou’ve already tilled ormake a new patchof it with the Hoe.

Bring out your fluteand whistle theYoohoo commandto get the attention of any Tender Dinosaur, thenapproach the Seed Potwith your flute still out and equipped. The Wait Here command will change to a new one:Help Me With Planting.

Playthree small Blue notesand the Dinosaur will now be assigned to the Seed Pot. Each time youharvest a fully grown crop, they’ll now come behind you,re-till the land, andreplantfrom whatever seeds you’ve left in their assigned Seed Pot.

How To Unlock The Produce Basket

To get theProduce Basket, you’ll need another questfrom Avery. Onceyou’ve restored the pathway to Ariacotta Canyon, Avery will start showing up atArcheo Pelagoafew days a week, and he’ll have several new quests for you, includingEffortless Harvest.

Accept Effortless Harvest, and he’ll hand over aSmall Produce Basket. You’ll need toplace the Small Produce Basketin front of some farmland,assign a dinosaur to it, and thenreturn to Averyand speak to him.

He’ll congratulate you and hint towards a past conflict, and after that you’ll be able topurchase moreProduce Baskets fromMarlo’s stall, and all three size variants will be unlocked already.

How To Use The Produce Basket

TheProduce Basketworks similarly to the Seed Pot, but itlacks an inventoryunless Tender Dinosaurs have harvested any crops.

Place it downnear or even within a piece oftilled farmland, and you’ll see a pattern of red, tomato-like shapes that show you thebasket’s coverage.

Pull out yourfluteand use theYoohoo commandto get the attention of the Tender Dinosaur you want, thenapproach the Produce Basketwhile yourflute is still out. You’ll have a new command available called:Help Me With Harvesting.

Seed Pot and Produce Basketranges can overlap, but thesame dinosaurcan’t be assigned to bothat once.

Use the command, and thedinosaur at attentionwill then be assigned to the Product Basket. As soon as any crop, except for a tree or bush, is ready, the dinosaur willharvest it for youandput it in their assigned basket.

Unlike dinosaurs assigned to the pots who may wait at their assigned pot,dinosaurs assigned to basketswill only come when a crop isready to be harvested.
