Blasphemous 2has many ways to upgrade the Penitent One, with Weapon Upgrades being one of the more crucial ways of doing so. Not only does it make the weapon stronger and pack more of a punch, but it also gives you access to more of its Skill Tree, enabling more usability in battle that can help you tremendously.

The flail, Veredicto, is one of the best weapons in the game from the jump and is arguably the most powerful weapon, even without upgrades. But why stop there when you can upgrade it twice and make it even stronger and more ridiculous?
Veredicto (Flail) Upgrade One Location
Veredicto’s first upgradeis a relatively easy one to obtain and is found in theElevated Templesregionin the room just southeast of the westmost Prie-Dieu.All you need for this one is decent platforming skills at best, and it’s yours!
Veredicto First Upgrade Location
Upon entering the room below and to the right of the westmost Prie-Dieu in the Elevated Temples, you will see a Bell hanging in your face the moment you walk in.Hit the Bell, jump onto the blue platformsthat appear before you, andfollow them up and to the top right cornerof the room.
There will be acontraption in the top right corner.Leap from the last platform and give it a smackwith your weapon to smash it,opening the gate belowyou. Upon landing,enter the room to find the first upgradefor the Veredicto. Simple!
Veredicto (Flail) Upgrade Two Location
Oursecond and final upgradefor theVeredictois located in theSunken Cathedralregion and is a bit more involved than the previous one, but not by much. Fortunately, you won’t need any fancy abilities for this one either, just your mighty flail and some thinking!
Veredicto Second Upgrade Location
From thefirst Prie-Dieu,head to thetopmost floor on the region’s east side.Once here,act as if you’re going to head out the western exit,thendrop below it to find a Statue.We recommenddispatching all the enemies in this room first,as they are incredibly frustrating to deal with.
Next,interact with the Statuetobegin moving a Bellandplace it all the way to the right, as far as it can go,then stop interacting with it.Head over to the Bell and give it a good smack with your Veredictoto send its reverberation out, thenquickly drop through the floor beneath you.
A door will open to the right. Quickly run through it to unlock itpermanently and head into the next room.In this room will be the second and final upgradefor the Veredicto!
