If you need to have all the Frozen characters inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and you may’t let it go, you’ll need to bring Elsa to the village. It’s your job to convince her to come to the valley, and Anna has a plan. If you help her, it might just be enough to get Elsa to stay.

The problem is that those pesky stumps are in the way. If you’re to show Elsa what Anna found, you’ll have to clear those away first. While it will take a bit more to bring Elsa to your village, this is a vital step in making her feel at home in Dreamlight Valley.
How To Start An Icy Invitation Friendship Quest
To start An Icy Invitation, you’ll need to havelevel two friendship with Annaafter bringing her to the village. This won’t take long to do. You can talk to her and give her gifts to raise her level and pop the quest. Once you’ve met this prerequisite,talk to Annaabout the idea she has about bringing Elsa to the valley. She thinks she’s found a way to do it, but there are stumps blocking the bridge.
Luckily, there’s a book in Anna’s house that can help figure out how toremove the stumps.
Where Is The Book In Anna’s House
Enter Anna’s house andhead to the libraryin the room to the left. You’ll find rows of shelves and books stacked all over. The book you’re looking for,Mystical Flora & Fauna, is not on the shelves. It’ssitting on a Library Side Tablenear the shelves. Pick up the book and return it to Anna.
The book details how to remove the stumps by upgrading your shovel. To craft the Shovel Blade, you’ll need to gather some materials and use a Crafting Station.
How To Upgrade The Royal Shovel
The materials you’ll need to find are nearby, so don’t worry. You’ll need to findSoftwood, Hardwood, and Iron Ingotsto craft the Shovel Blade.
Softwood

Softwood can be found in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadows, Glade of Trust, and Forest of Valor.
Hardwood

Hardwood can be found in the Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, and Glade of Trust.
Iron Ingots

Iron Ingots can be crafted by using Iron Ore and coal. Iron Ore can be found in the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, and the Vitalys Mines.
If you’re having trouble finding materials quickly, bring a villager with a foraging or mining role along with you. They can help collect extra materials while also nurturing your friendship with them.
If you’ve unlockedKristoff’s Stall, there’s a chance that these materials will be available for purchase. This can help save time if you have the star coins to buy them.
Once you’ve gathered everything you need, head to your favorite Crafting Station. You’llcraft the Shovel Bladeand use it on the Royal Shovel. Now you can remove the stumps blocking the bridge. Once you do, return to Anna to tell her that the path is clear. She will take you to see the one thing that might convince Elsa to visit the valley.
How To Find The Ice Cavern
Cross the bridge and head straight back towards the little pond in the Forest of Valor. You’ll see a great cave made of ice, though it’s surrounded by ice blocks when you first see it. These cannot be moved at the moment, but pull out your camera andtake a picture of the Ice Cavernfor Anna.
Show her the picture and she’ll give you a letter. Hopefully, with both the letter and the picture, you can convince Elsa to leave the Frozen Realm.
How To Invite Elsa To The Valley
Head onback to the Frozen Realmthrough the Dream Castle. You’ll need to make your way to Elsa to deliver the letter and show her the picture of the Ice Cavern. It seems like these are enough to get Elsa moving. With this good news, head back to Anna to share. She’ll be so excited to hear that her sister is coming to stay.
While completing this quest is a step in bringing Elsa to the valley, she doesn’t automatically appear upon its conclusion. After this, you’ll need to complete another quest calledWelcoming Elsato move her into the Ice Cavern officially.
You’ll wrap up this quest and be one step closer to welcoming Elsa to Dreamlight Valley in her new home. The rewards for this quest will be anincreased friendship with Anna, the impressiveRoyal Shovel upgrade, and the ability towelcome Elsa to your valleyvery soon.
