Console commands sit somewhere in the middle. At any time while playing Starfield, you can open up the console and change virtually everything about the game. Most players use console commands to enable cheats, but console commands can also be used to fix broken quests, spawn important items, and much more. This guide will go over the basics of console commands, how to use them, and list some of Starfield’s more useful commands.
How To Use Console Commands
Achievements
Using any console command that changes your world state will disable achievements, flagging your save as modded. If you wish to use console commands without disabling achievements, we recommend installing an achievement enabler mod.
Despite the name, console commands are a PC feature that cannot be accessed by Xbox players without the use of mods.PC users may open the console command menu by pressing the tilde (~) key. This will open a blank command prompt that you may enter commands into. Nearly everything is possible if you know the right command strings. You can use the console to change your character’s skills, progress through quests, or spawn any object in the game. Console commands may be used to progress through bugged quests, force certain events to trigger, or enable cheats like invulnerability.

Console players currently have no way of using console commands. The same was also true for Skyrim and Fallout 4 when they first released, but modders found ways to mimic popular console command functions through mods.Once the Xbox version of Starfield supports mods, you should be able to find player-made mods that mimic many popular console commands.Official modding tools should be released sometime in 2024.

Skipping The NG+ Grind
This section contains spoilers for Starfield’s main quest and New Game Plus systems.
Uncovering 240 temples to maximize your powers is an extremely tedious process that can take 50+ hours. If you want to maximize every power without completing the NG+ cycle multiple times, you can enter the console commands listed below. You mustunlock the power before you can level it, and you reenter the leveling command nine times to fully max a power.Credit toReddit user pwn3dbyth3n00bfor discovering these power IDs.
