PDP revealeda collection of very special Nintendo Switch controllerslast month. Its Realmz collection. Each Realmz controller has an iconic video game character trapped inside. TheSonicand Tails controllers were the first ones put up for pre-order,Pikminversions will be available later this year, and while they haven’t been shown off yet, PDP has also teamed up withTransformersto presumably put Optimus Prime in one of its Relamz controllers too.
Sonic hasn’t stepped out of the spotlight just yet, though. Following in the blue blur and Tails' footsteps is their good friend Knuckles. PDP showed off the Knuckles controller when the first two became available for pre-order, and now you’re able to secure your echidna controller too throughAmazon. Retailing for $60, PDP’s Knuckles controller puts a figurine of the character in the left grip and has Sonic’s Sky Sanctuary Zone as its backdrop.

Knuckles' controller appears to be the last one in the Relamz collection for now, so Dr. Robotnik won’t be getting a design of his own. Neither will Amy and Shadow, but you’d have to think if the announced three sell well enough, the demand will be there for more characters to be added to PDP’s Sonic offerings.
Knuckles Sky Sanctuary Zone PDP Realmz Controller
PDP’s Realmz collection traps iconic video game characters inside its controllers. Part of its Sonic the Hedgehog options, the Knuckles controller has a figure of the echidna inside and a Sky Sanctuary backdrop.
Similar designs of the Switch controllers are also available forXbox, and you can choose between wired and wireless options, altering the price slightly depending on your pick. The Pikmin design mentioned above has already been revealed and will feature a red Pikmin figurine in the same place as the Knuckles one above. Yellow and blue Pikmin will be a part of the leafy design incorporated into the rest of the controller.
Even if you order your Knuckles controller right now, it won’t be here in time for you to use it to finish the story inSonic Frontiers. PDP’s Knuckles controllers won’t ship until January 2024, but I imagine they’ll be pretty popular, and likely extremely limited, so you may want to pre-order as soon as possible if you can. While you wait for it to arrive,the aforementioned Frontiers DLCis a free update for the latest 3D Sonic game dropping on September 28. Dubbed the Final Horizon, it will continue the story told in the base game.
