If theSwitchreally is being replaced in 2024,Nintendo’s got a funny way of showing it. A remake of the puzzle game originally released onGame Boy Advancethat tasks Mario with getting stolen toys back from DK.

Releasing on August 02, 2025, pre-orders forMario vs. Donkey Kongare still available. There doesn’t appear to be a pre-order bonus, and at this late stage it seems unlikely one will be added. Odd asSuper Mario Bros. Wonder got exclusive trading cardsadded to its pre-order bonus list at Walmart after the item’s store page had been live for a while, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth now hasa Collector’s Edition that includes a 19-inch Sephiroth statue. Mario vs. Donkey Kong isn’t quite on the same level as those two examples when it comes to popularity and anticipation, though.
