Mortal Kombat 1features one of the most ambitious stories across the entire series to date. With multiple timelines and more characters than the series often knows what to do with, it was the perfect time to bring some seemingly long-forgotten fighters back into the fold, and that’s exactly what this game did in a big way.
Diving into one of the hottest trends media has ever seen, Mortal Kombat 1 features a universe-hopping plot that sees entire timelines pitted against one another in a struggle for ultimate dominance. It may feature familiar heroes like Liu Kang and familiar villains like Shang Tsung, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of fun twists all the way to the end of the game.

What Happens In The Final Battle Of Mortal Kombat 1?
With the various Kronika-fatality-stuffing titans becoming a major threat to the existence of the many Mortal Kombat timelines,it falls onto Liu Kang and his champions to protect their entire reality. Understanding how real the danger Shang Tsung, who defeated Kronika and Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat 11 is, titans on the side of good are recruited to stand against great evil.
Returning to his status as Keeper of Time, Liu Kang leads this massive force of heroes against a massive force of villains in the chapter fittingly known as Armageddon, a callback to the Mortal Kombat game of the same name. Many of the heroes fans of the series will surely know end up making appearances, with some fun surprises including a female version of Johnny Cage.

Shang Tsung has his own evil force complete with a cross between Kano and Sonya Blade, and plenty of other shocking crossovers. Despite the surprises,the massive battle is bloody and filled with death on both sides.
You as the player have to choose your preferred fighter to go through a massive gauntlet as they fight some of the most bizarre fighters to ever grace the series. It appears that the fighter combinations found within the gauntlet are either random or unique to the character chosen, but either way, everyone is sure to be shocked by the kinds of foes they are up against. Eventually, the player’s chosen character, along with Liu Kang, makes it to the top of the pyramid battlefield to put a stop toQuan Chi and Shang Tsung’s ending for the story…

Who Is The Final Boss Of Mortal Kombat 1?
Rather than having a single monstrous fighter pose a final challenge, Mortal Kombat 1 went a different route.The final brutal encounter sees the player character going up against Shang Tsung, who is capable of calling on Quan Chi for aid. While the average player is sure to be more than ready for the challenge, it’s a fight that is likely to require a few attempts given how tricky Shang Tsung can be in this final battle. Once the evil sorcerers are finally defeated, Liu Kang bestows his praise upon the chosen character and turns his attention to the evil foes.
Halting armageddon for the timeline Mortal Kombat fans know and love,the easy-to-use Liu Kangerases Shang Tsung and Quan-Chi from existence. With Shang Tsung’s timeline supposedly about to collapse without his existence,Liu Kang sends the player character back to their timeline so that they can be spared whatever fate may befall the crumbling universe. At the same time, Liu Kang also returns his other allies to their respective universes. With the evil defeated for good, some of the key characters from the story decide a little celebration is in order.

How Does Mortal Kombat 1 End?
After the hard-fought battle, Liu Kang and his champions spend a nightunwinding at Madam Bo’s establishment. Johnny Cage expresses his interest in putting the group’s adventure including the Mortal Kombat tournament and fight against Shang Tsung on the big screen, with fun cameos for each of the champions of Earthrealm.
The group here does some heavy-handed telegraphing about a new crop of fighters that will be coming in to take over the role of the defenders of the realm, but soon,Liu Kang announces his intention to depart in order to make final preparations to keep the timeline safe.
The champions of Earthrealm give their thanks to Liu Kang before Madam Bo reminds the group that despite being champions, they won’t be getting freebies from her. Despite the group arguing over the bill, Liu Kang takes his leave, confident that Earthrealm is well protected from whatever threats may pop up. Unfortunately, Liu Kang doesn’t seem aware of the fact that a new threat has already risen and is waiting for a chance to strike.
Does Mortal Kombat 1 Tease A Sequel?
Rather than letting the game end on a happy note, Mortal Kombat 1 takes another example from hot trends and includes a bit ofan ending tease to set up further conflict. Flashing back to the armageddon battleground, it appears thata new threat has risen to fill the vacuum of power created by the defeat of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.
In a surprise to many,Havik, along with a few other multiversal villains, have survived the battle. Immediately demonstrating his brutality by carelessly killing a helpless version of Jax, Havik makes it clear that the sheer chaos of the previous battle was so invigorating that he’d like more.
To close out Mortal Kombat 1, this Titan version of Havik, referred to as Lord Havik, declares that the next time a massive struggle for dominance in Mortal Kombat occurs, the battle won’t play out nearly as quickly. While it may just be a tease of things to come, and plans may change, it seems that Havik has been centered as the next big villain of the Mortal Kombat series, though thanks to the nature of the final battle from the game, it’s possible that any further entries in the series will feature plenty of never-before-seen fighters.
