AMortal Kombat 1modder has fittingly replaced everyone’s favourite mustard Kameo fighter Cyrax with Freddy Fazbear fromFive Nights at Freddy’s.

If Mortal Kombat 1’s crossovers like Omni-Man, Peacemaker, and Homelander (which are all coming as part of the game’s first Kombat Pack) somehow aren’t enough for you, then you might be excited to know thatEd Boon previously confirmed that guest characters could also be added to the game as Kameo fighters. This opens up the door for pretty much anyone to make their way into Mortal Kombat, provided that they don’t mind murdering their opponent.

But who has the time to wait for NetherRealm to add more characters to the game, right? You want guest Kameo fighters, and you want them now. If that’s the case,then this mod from NexusMods creator HiBlakkes might be just the thing for you. The mod in question gives Cyrax a Freddy Fazbear makeover, keeping all of his net and bomb moves, but making him look like the face of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.

The mod was also showcased by YouTuber Mike Monty, giving us a better look at what it’d be like if Freddy Fazbear decided to give up on waiting for the lights in his pizzeria to go out and just started straight-up murdering his enemies. Freddy makes a surprisingly good replacement for Cyrax too, as all the bombs and nets that the robotic ninja usually throws out are now being done by another, equally-murder-fuelled robot. Shame he’s not also a ninja, but at least he has that awesome top hat to put him over the edge.

Although the mod already looks pretty great, it seems that there’s still a bit of work to be done on it yet, as HiBlakkes noted on the NexusMods page that he’s aware of Freddy’s strange shininess and that he still has Cyrax’s little bit of cloth dangling between his legs (not a euphemism), two things I didn’t even notice until they pointed it out.

As of the time of writing, Freddy Fazbear is actually one of the only mods for Mortal Kombat 1 that changes the look of guest fighters, but with how great this one looks then it’s really only a matter of time until we get more. Although I’m sure they’re notallgoing to be Five Nights at Freddy’s characters, I’d like to put my hat in the ring for the rest of the first game’s crew to be added, alongside Security Breach’s infamously memey glam rock version of Freddy Fazbear.
