More than a month after the game’s launch, Titan Battles have finally been added toMortal Kombat 1, meaning that the Platinum is finally actually achievable.
Although Mortal Kombat 1 has been praised for its gameplay mechanics, story mode, and roster, it’s fair to say that the community has begun to sour on the latest release in the series following its launch. Some of themain issues that they have with the game so far include the pricey microtransactions,Megan Fox’s infamous portrayal of Nitara, and missing game mechanics like the mysterious “Titan Battles”.
Mortal Kombat 1 initially launched without the ability to pin combosto the side of the screen while fighting, which was thankfully added to the game earlier this week.
Players who dived into Mortal Kombat 1’s trophy list at launch might have spotted the “Titan Battles” feature and spent some time searching for the mode to get that bronze trophy on their way to the Platinum. Sadly, getting that trophy was impossible as the feature wasn’t even in the game at launch, leaving many players sitting around waiting for an update that let them 100 percent complete the game.
Well, a month after Mortal Kombat 1’s launch, Titan Battles have finally been added to the game, meaning that anyone who was holding out for that last trophy or achievement can finally hop into the Invasions mode and finish the list for good. As expected, Titan Battles are a type of boss battle similar to some of the tougher ones found in Invasions, although these ones take place in a separate area of the map called the Pyramid.
The first Titan added to the game and the one you’re going to need to take down to complete the “The Mighty Have Fallen” challenge is Insatiable Baraka, a particularly tough version of the Tarkatan warrior that has Cyrax as a Kameo. Defeating him will not only earn you the achievement, but it’ll also give you the “Monster Made Flesh” skin for Baraka, so it’s worth taking him on if you haven’t already.
Perhaps unsurprisingly considering he’s a Titan, the fight against Insatiable Baraka isn’t an easy one.Twitter user Gamingfanatic has suggested players use the “broken” Windbreaker Talismanto make short work of the battle.
As of the time of writing, players only have three days until the end of Mortal Kombat 1’s first season of Invasions, which means that you’re going to want to jump in quickly to take on the Titan. Those worried that they’ll be locked out of the trophy if they don’t finish the battle in the next few days need not worry, though,as Twitter user interloko has already discovered the next Titan Battle, which will be against General Shao.
