Mortal KombatandInvinciblefans are celebrating how well Omni-Man has been adapted forMortal Kombat 1, with particular praise going towards his incredibly caked-up cheeks.

After months of speculation, leaks, and a whole bunch of waiting around for NetherRealm to tell us when Omni-Man would be joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster,we finally got our first in-game look at him yesterday thanks to a trailer that was released at New York Comic-Con. Although it was hard to get a good grasp of his moveset thanks to how fast-paced the trailer was, we did get to see a glimpse at both of his Fatalities (confirming the leaks from last week) and see him interact with some of the Mortal Kombat cast.

More importantly than all that, the trailer also gave us a chance to see how Omni-Man’s design has been translated from Robert Kirkman’s 2D style into 3D, something that some fans were concerned about when he was first announced. Fret not, Invincible fans, as Nolan not only looks like he fits right into the Mortal Kombat universe, but NetherRealm also upgraded the most iconic part of his look - his massive bulging buttocks.

As you’d expect from a superhero in spandex, Omni-Man has always had a respectable pair of cheeks on him in the comics and Amazon show, but Mortal Kombat 1 takes things to another level entirely. As pointed out by Redditor AnonDooDoo on the Mortal Kombat subreddit following Omni-Man’s reveal, Nolan’s cake is absolutelyhugein Mortal Kombat 1, andsomehow manages to put even Miguel O’Hara’s polygonal booty to shame. Like I said, it’s not like Omni-Man hasn’t always had a great ass on him, but in Mortal Kombat 1 it’s simply on a whole new level.

Omni-Man’s lovely behind can be spotted throughout the reveal trailer (how could you miss it?) andeveryone is already having a whale of a time making memes about it. In fact, a lot of fans are joking that the choice to give Nolan such noticeable cheeks is actually NetherRealm’s way of paying tribute to the infamousThicc Omni-Man memethat’s been going around since the first season of Invincible.

Although that’s almost definitely not the case here and is likely just a result of translating Omni-Man’s 2D design into 3D, it is funny that Mortal Kombat 1’s version of Omni-Man has unarguably the best booty out of them all, even giving Thicc Omni-Man a run for his money. And hey, if Ed Boon wants to come out and say itisa tribute to the meme, I’m all for it.
