When the day is done and you’re all out of spell slots, there’s nothing like a long rest with yourBaldur’s Gate 3party. Typically, this is a good chance for the story to progress too, as your companions often get unique cutscenes before you head off to bed. However, if you’re all caught up on them, you’re instead greeted by a shot of your party members all tucked into their bedrolls, snoring away....

There are a million different directions aBaldur’s Gate 3expansion could go in. There’s raising the level cap and adding a new area (we don’t see all of Baldur’s Gate itself, after all), or even justadding new adventures set for Levels 10-12so we can do them in our last save before the ending. Unless the expansion offers us a way to go back to earlier areas, you’d think it would need to be an area accessible from Act 3 so that players could dive back into the new stuff rather than replaying another campaign to get there....

Sometimes, the point of no return is a firm ending - once you pass it, you beat the next sequence and the game is over.
