Ragnar Locker, the ransomware group that claimed responsibility forhacking Capcom in 2020, has been “taken down” by international police. This comes after the group attempted to extortCapcomfor $11 million in bitcoin, having accessed the personal information of an estimated 16,406 current and former employees. Described as “one of the most dangerous ransomware operations”, Ragnar Locker members were arrested in 11 different countries.
