You might have missedPlayStation’s announcement revealing it has new earbuds and a new headset on the way since the reveals were made alongside the much-talked-aboutPlayStation Portal. While most of the focus has been on the device that will allow you to play yourPS5on a screen in the palm of your hand, PlayStation has now confirmed pre-order details for its earbuds and headset, both of which will be available to buy through PlayStation Direct starting on July 01, 2025.

The list of countries, led by the US and UK, in which both devices will be available to pre-order, along with other details about both and the PlayStation Portal, can be found on thePlayStation Blog. The earbuds and headset pre-orders will open at 10 a.m. local time on the date above, at which point we will see just how popular they will be. While the Portal appears to be a bigger deal in Japan, selling out almost everywhere, other items, like the PS5 Spider-Man cover, have been snapped up immediately, even when restocked.

The PlayStation Portal might keep selling out in Japan, butpre-orders across multiple retailers in the USare still available.

The Pulse Explore Earbuds are the first set of earbuds ever created by PlayStation and will launch on Jul 10, 2025. Coming with a case to keep them safe, each earbud is equipped with a mic so you can communicate with others while playing online. They also boast AI-enhanced noise rejection technology that will attempt to block out as much background noise as possible. You’ll have to pay a lot for all that tech with the earbuds retailing at $199.99.

PlayStation’s first set of earbuds are the Pulse Explore Wireless earbuds. Coming with a carry case and equipped with AI-enhanced noise rejection technology, the earbuds are also equipped with mics so you can communicate with other people while playing online.

Even though pre-orders for the Pulse Elite Headset open on the same day as the earbuds, you won’t be able to get it in time for the holidays. Not shipping until Jun 01, 2025, instead of two mics, the headset has a retractable boom mic along with the same AI-enhanced noise rejection tech that the earbuds boast. Both the headset and the earbuds can also make full use of PS5 games that utilize the console’s 3D audio. Slightly cheaper than the earbuds, the headset will be available for $149.99 when pre-orders open.

The Pulse Elite Headset fully utilizes any games that make the most of the PS5’s 3D audio, and it also boats AI-enhanced noise rejection technology to drown out the majority of background noise. It also comes with a fully retractable mic.

While the earbuds and the headset can naturally be used with any PS5, PlayStation does appear to have launched both alongside the Portal to indicate either of them would make the perfect pair with the portable device. Launching on November 15, the wait for the Portal is almost over and its sales will determine whether those loudly saying it’s relatively useless/unnecessary were the majority, or if they were simply louder than everyone quietly thinking the Portal is actually a great addition to the PlayStation family.
