There are a lot ofPokemonplushes out there, and new ones are released on what feels like a daily basis. We’ve already seenthe Sleeping Eevee plushhit shelves again this week, andthe Pikachu plush released in conjunction with Pokemon’s Van Gogh Museum collaborationled to a minor riot. If theDetective Pikachuplush coming to the US does the same thing, it might be able to talk down excited fans, or at least track down who was responsible for starting the chaos.

The new Pikachu plush is based on the character’s design from the brand newNintendo Switchgame,Detective Pikachu Returns, which might be why it looks a little off. Previously exclusive to Pokemon Center Japan,Serebii’s Joe Merrickrevealed the plush will be available in the US, UK, and Canada’s Pokemon Centers very soon. No definitive release date, so be sure to keep an eye on the site, social media, and of course TheGamer for when the plush’s store listing goes live.

There’s also not been confirmation that the stateside version of the Detective Pikachu plush will be able to talk, although it seems likely as that is one of the key selling points of the toy in Japan. For those unfamiliar with the detective version of the world’s most famous Pokemon, this Pikachu can talk. Well, he can talk to his partner in solving crime, and that means we the players, and the viewers, can understand him too.

Noted above, this is the second big news coming out of camp Pikachu plush in less than two weeks. The Van Gogh Pikachu plush was one of many items available as a part of Pokemon’s Van Gogh collection. The most sought-after item was actually a Van Gogh Pikachu Pokemon card, however, you could only get that card by buying something from the store. That meant the plush sold out in minutes, andthe museum was mobbed by fans, and scalpers, who wanted a copy of the card.

If you just can’t wait for the Detective Pikachu plush to go on sale, and you missed out on a Van Gogh one, there are plenty of newPokemon Funko Popsto pick from right now.Umbreon, Sobble, and Aipom’s debut figures are all up for pre-order. The first image ofa Diamond Collection Lapras Pop!has also circulated online, but official details on its price and release date are yet to be revealed.
