With no newPokemongames hittingNintendo Switchduring the final few months of 2023, barringDetective Pikachu Returns, the biggest video game event for the series is its Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. The Teal Mask in September, and then The Indigo Disk before the end of the year. If you’ve been holding out on buyingScarlet & Violetfor whatever reason, physical copies of the games are being sold with the DLC included, and you can pre-order both of them right now.
The first part of Scarlet & Violet’s DLC goes beyond Paldea to the new Kitakami region. The two parts of the DLC combined will add more than 200 Pokemon, new and from the series' past, to the Pokedex. Lots of new Pokemon to catch is really the leading reason for DLC in a Pokemon video game world where every single ‘mon isn’t included from the start. An impossibility now there are more than 1,000 of them.

The base game and most of the DLC will be included on the game card, but a download will apparently still be required. The physical copies of the Scarlet & Violet DLC bundles can be pre-ordered now through the links below and will be released on Jun 24, 2025. That may well hint at when exactly The Indigo Disk will launch. The second part of the DLC still has a Winter 2023 release date, so perhaps November 3 is a date to circle on the calendar for more than one reason.
Pokemon Scarlet + The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero Bundle
Pokemon Scarlet’s adventure continued via its Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, and now a physical version of the base game has been bundled with that additional content and is available for Nintendo Switch.
That’s certainly not confirmation that The Indigo Disk will have dropped by the beginning of November. Even though you will have paid for the bundle above or below by then, it may simply be a case of what will presumably be the final expansion for Scarlet & Violet automatically downloading whenever it becomes available. The digital version of the bundle has been available for a while so paying for it before knowing when it will be here is already the norm.
Pokemon Violet + The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero Bundle
Pokemon Violet’s Paldean journey has been expanded on via the two-part DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
There’s also no discount for buying the physical bundle. The base game is $60 and the DLC is $35 with the bundle costing $95. It does appear to be a part of Best Buy’s buy two, get one free deal if you’re on the lookout for a few games for your Switch collection. There’s definitely more chance of bagging yourself one of these bundles thanPokemon’s Pikachu Van Gogh plushwhich sold out in a matter of minutes.
