It’s been a while since we last got a RoboCop game. Almost a decade since the last one overall, and 20 years since the last one that was available to play on anything other than mobile. That changes on July 08, 2025, when RoboCop: Rogue City comes to multiple platforms. Perhaps lost in the shuffle a little in a year packed with triple-A titles, and coming right after one of the busiest months in recent video game history, Rogue City actually looks pretty promising, and you can pre-order a copy right now.
Rogue City puts you in the mechanical body of RoboCop, a movie character anyone older than 30 will instantly recognize. Patrolling the streets of Detroit, RoboCop has been tasked with bringing an end to a crime spree that has resulted in the deaths of fellow officers, the tally of bodies being well into the double digits. There also appears to be an added component of RoboCop, or Alex Murphy, being coaxed to connect more with his human side so he’s not just some soulless law robot.

If you’re a RoboCop fan and you’ve been waiting for a studio to finally take a crack at a modern take on a game set in the character’s universe, you’ve got two versions to choose from when it comes to placing your pre-order. The Standard Edition, and the slightly more expensive Alex Murphy Edition. While the former is naturally just a copy of the game, the latter comes with a few added extras including in-game cosmetic items and early access to the game.
RoboCop: Rogue City
WHERE TO PLAY
RoboCop: Rogue City is the first game for a very long time that puts fans of the franchise in the cybernetic shoes of its lead character. Available on multiple platforms, players are challenged with becoming RoboCop as he attempts to bring an end to the Detroit crime spree that has taken the lives of countless others on the force.
Additional Content
Other than securing a copy, and hopefully having it ready to play on launch day, or two days before launch day with the Alex Murphy Edition, there are also some pre-order bonuses up for grabs. The blue armor that long-time RoboCop fans will recognize from the second movie, and a pitch black skin for the game’s auto-9 weapon. The pre-order bonuses come with both the Standard and Alex Murphy Editions of the game.
Rogue City’s Alex Murphy Edition is $10 more, and for that you get some additional in-game cosmetic items and 48 hours of early access.

It’s been two and a half years sinceNacon revealed it was working on a RoboCop game, and the wait to play it is almost over. What we’ve seen of the game so far has been pleasantly surprising, and I’m hopeful the full game will continue to do that and not be overshadowed by the other big games coming out in the weeks building to it. WithMarvel’s Spider-Man 2launching on October 20, andAlan Wake 2a week later, there’s a very real chance Rogue City doesn’t get the attention it might deserve. Hey, if you can, and you like the look of it, pre-order Rogue City now through the links above to make sure you don’t miss out.
