Remnant 2is a game that provides no further guidance once it has introduced you to the basic combat mechanics in the tutorial area. The game simply places you within its world and allows you to unravel its mysteries on your own, such as puzzles. Puzzles play a significant role in the game, and you will encounter many of them.

One particular puzzle that has left everyone wondering is a locked door found within the Shattered Gallery. You’ll recognize the correct spot when you come across a multitude of petrified human statues.
How To Open The Locked Door
You’ll encounter this puzzle once you arrive in theLosomn world.
Due to the game’s random generation of locations, it’s possible to encounter this puzzle notonly in the Shattered Gallerybut also inthe Council ChamberorThe Great Hall.
After you reach the puzzle’s location, you’ll come acrossa locked door surrounded by a collection of statues. Fortunately, the solution is contained within the same room.
Your objective is to locatea particular painting that appears slightly unusual within the right section of the room. You can refer to the image below for guidance.
If youshoot or attack the painting, itwill reveal a secret path underground. Proceed along this pathway.
During your journey, you’ll encounter a mini-boss calledThe Executioner.
Defeating this enemy might prove challenging due to the limited space available for the battle.
If you succeed at that, you’ll earn theSteadfast Mutator, in addition totwo Corrupted Lumenite Crystals.
Once equipped with theSteadfast Mutator, yourcharged melee attacks become uninterruptedand benefit froma ten percent reduction in damage from any sources.
As you continue on your journey, you’ll eventually reacha section that is partially flooded. In this area, you’ll spota small room to your right,containing petrified bodies and a purple glowing item tucked behind some stalagmites.
To retrieve this item, simplybreak the petrified bodies, thenascend through the entrance in the wall ahead of you.
Following this path will get to the purple item: theOrnate Flail.
TheOrnate Flailis a distinct-looking mace-type melee weapon. It providesmoderate damageandallows for rapid powerful attacks.
Toward the end of this secret path, the sole remaining valuable item to retrieve is theSapphire Dreamstone ring.
TheSapphire Dreamstonering provides a threepercent reduction in Skill Cooldown upon executing Critical Hits. However,this effect can occur only once every two seconds.
Finally, after collecting the ring, take the stairs down and unlock the door, which will take you back to your starting point.
