What Happens If You Hand Shadowheart Over To Viconia DeVir?
Betraying Shadowheart is just as bad as it sounds. If you’re any semblance of a moral person, this isobjectively the wrong decision. But let’s say you’re not that attached to your resident prickly, Shadow-heart the Hedgehog. What do you get out of handing her over?
Handing Shadowheart overresults in two things:
A pair of Dark Justiciars will take away Shadowheart. Hermemories will be wiped away, and she’ll become a clean slate.
From there, it’s assumed that Shadowheart would betortured and controlled by Viconia DeVir for several decadesto come. It’s a cruel fate, but at least the members of theHouse of Grief will side with you in the final battleagainst the Elder Brain.

What Happens If You Refuse To Betray Shadowheart?
If you side with Shadowheart and refuse to hand her over, you’ll have tofight Viconia DeVir.Depending on your Shadowheart’s path, this fight differs slightly.
Going down this route means you’llkeep Shadowheart as a party member, but it also means you’ll potentially have theopportunity to get the legendary shield,Viconia’s Walking Fortress.

You also won’t miss out on anyunique dialogue with the Hallowleafsin the deepest chamber, andShadowheart’s questline will continue.
