Most signs point to this being a solid Sonic offering from the team working on it to the co-op options the game has been built around. No, it won’t have Shadow, butFang the Sniper, a villain who has been absent from the series for more than 20 years, will be making an unexpected return. If that all sounds good to you and you aren’t deterred by the slew of other big games launching around the same time, then you can secure your copy of Sonic Superstars through the pre-order links below.

Additional Content
It has also been revealed that there will be aLegocomponent to Sonic Superstars. No, the blue blur isn’t getting a full-blown Lego game likeMarvelorStar Wars, but Lego Sonic will be a playable character in the game. You’ll also get Lego Eggman, I’m assuming the Minifigure version from that very meta skit Sega did, if you pre-order the game.
Not bothered about a physical copy? Then stick to a digital one. You’ll still get the Lego Eggman pre-order bonus with the added bonus of being able to play Superstars as soon as it releases in your part of the world at midnight on launch day.

As already touched on the biggest thing about Superstars is its co-op. Almost all of the footage shown from the game prior to launch has showcased how up to four players can play at the same time. Unfortunately, the co-op experience will be restricted to local only, so no squadding up online. Sega has blamed that onSonic games being too fast for online co-op playwhich sounds amusing on the surface but actually kind of makes sense.
If you’re an avid Sonic fan like me, then you’re going to want the Digital Deluxe Edition of Sonic Superstars. The base game and a whole bunch of other in-game extras, including the Sonic Rabbit skin you might have heard about.

Unless Sega does ultimately decide October is a little too crowded after all, Sonic Superstars will launch on PlayStation,Xbox,Nintendo Switch, andPCon Jun 16, 2025. All pre-order options are available now and can be found through the links above.
