TheMarvel’s Spider-Man 2PS5covers revealed over the summer have quickly become one of the most sought-after video game items of 2023. Giving Spidey fans the ability to web up their consoles without buying a whole new PS5,PlayStation’s stock of the covers sold out almost immediately. The same has been happening everywhere else the covers have popped up since, but Amazon’s slightly different approach to selling highly sought-after items might give you your best chance of landing a cover yet.

Odds are if you pay a visit tothe Spidey cover’s Amazon pageright now, you’ll be met with a “currently unavailable” message coupled with a note letting you know there’s no telling when they’ll be back in stock. That’s not necessarily because Amazon now has no covers left to sell, but because it has been releasing its stock in batches.

Return to the page in a few minutes and there may well be a cover for you to buy. Or just sit on the page and keep hitting refresh every few seconds so if there is stock at any point, you’re almost guaranteed not to miss out. It ultimately depends on how much time and patience you have to spare, and how badly you want your PS5 to look like it is being infiltrated by a symbiote. There’s also a chance Amazon really is out of stock depending on when you’re reading this.

Spider-Man 2 PS5 Faceplates

The Spider-Man special edition PS5 faceplates feature the same design as the PS5 bundle. Instead of the entire console, you can simply buy these and swap the original faceplates out.

PlayStation revealed its Spider-Man 2 accessories earlier this year, showing off the covers, a PS5 that comes with the cover as standard, and also a Spider-Man 2DualSensewhich is also notoriously hard to find right now. All of the items will launch before Spider-Man 2 hits PS5, but the special edition console includes a digital code for the game. You just won’t be able to activate it until October 20, so no trying it out before your lives are taken over bySuper Mario Bros. Wonder.

It’s actually a little surprising the cover continues to sell out everywhere it goes on sale since quite a few of you have beencomplaining about its simple design. It seems Spidey fans are more interested inthe 19 inches of Venomthat comes with the sequel’s collector’s edition.
