Disney Dreamlight Valleydoes not skimp on holiday events and at keeping you engaged. Halloween is one of the best times of the year and a lot of our favorite Disney villagers come from Halloween movies we know and love. With cozy farming games like this, you always want to decorate for the season.
Players everywhere post their amazing village designs. It can be disheartening trying to decorate your own village when you just can’t seem to make it look like everyone else’s. We have compiled some tips for decorating your valley for Halloween to make your decorating easier and more fun.

7Radioactive Well
Reddit user CupcakeIsGamingmade the most creative dreamlight well using multiple Well of Souls, dark rocks, and sinister pathing combined. Well of Souls was a premium Star Path item one could receive upon completing theVillian’s Star Path.
Though the Villain Star Path is no more, you can still use the sinister path and other dark Forgotten Lands landscaping in order to create ominous areas within your valley. A great way to keep things spooky is to make one designated area seemingly corrupted and haunted.

6Use Forgotten Lands Foliage
Unfortunately, the weather in Disney Dreamlight Valley does not mimic that of real life. To really feel the autumn vibes, you have to change the foliage for each season. Each biome has designated plants and trees that are native to that land. Bushes will be titled Plaza Bush or Peaceful Bush. Though certain vegetation is native to certain biomes, you can place them anywhere you like.
Forgotten Lands foliage is the most spooky-like. All the trees are dead and sharp, with thorns and gloomy coloring. Bushes and plants from the Forgotten Lands are purple. Go into Furniture Mode and then scroll down to Landscape to find foliage native to the Forgotten Lands. Place them all around the valley to make things more spooky.

Tie in some blood-red Maple Trees to really bring everything together.
5Put A Pumpkin At Every Door Step
Nothing screams Halloween spirit like every house on the block decorating for festivities. Place pumpkins at each villager’s doorstep to make your valley feel more at home. Lining houses up side by side with pumpkins on everyone’s porch will make Disney Dreamlight Valley feel even more like your childhood.
Jack-o-lanterns can be acquired by consuming large amounts of candy during the Halloween season. After being rewarded a jack-o-lantern, you can purchase multiple of the same at Scrooge’s personal store.

If you can’t acquire jack-o-lantern decor pieces, you can harvest real pumpkins and simply drop them down to use them as decoration.
4Autumn-ify The Marketplace
Every cozy gamer knows that you have to have a designated marketplace if the game doesn’t already have one set out for you. This could be anywhere in the game, but most people have theirs in the Plaza or Peaceful Meadow as those are the more main areas in the game.
Using autumn decorations around the main hub of your valley will increase the Halloween spirit. Autumn decorations can be found by heading to any crafting station and going to the Furniture tab. These decorations usually require things like pumpkins and wheat to craft.

3Dark And Twisted Plaza
Reddit user persephone7821transformed their plaza into a dark, menacing night full of glowing jack-o-lanterns. You, too, can do this by duplicating your jack-o-lanterns at Scrooge’s or harvesting and dropping real pumpkins.
With this idea, you’re able to use the one Halloween-themed furniture item you have as the centerpiece as you surround the rest of the valley in dark brick pathing and pumpkins. The creator also utilized orange lamp posts. Glowing pumpkins and a dark atmosphere is all you need.

2Craft Green And Orange Lampposts
No doubt you have quaint lamp posts all around the valley. You are able to craft colorful lamp posts using gemstones you mine from rocks in the walls. Different gems can craft different colored lamp posts at a crafting station.
Switching out all your lamp posts, or at least the ones in your main hub area, will make things all the more spooky. Especially if you make them green and orange, the usual Halloween color scheme. It may take a bit of a grind to craft multiple gem lamp posts, but it will be worth it because you can use them all year round.

1Haunted Graveyard
Reddit user Imcassieokayycreated a haunted graveyard using multiple Late Riser Bench coffins from the Villian’s Star Path. If you were lucky enough to acquire this bench from the previous Star Path, you should head to Scrooge’s and order multiple in order to make a cemetery of sorts.
They also incorporated Metal Spike Fencing and green lamp posts, both of which are easily accessible by heading to any crafting station. Even if you were never able to acquire the coffin benches, you probably have one Halloween-themed furniture item that you may order in multiples from Scrooge’s.
