What makes your farm yours is up to you, but some might feel that there are a few wrong ways to play Stardew Valley.
10Ignore Your Farm Completely
There are so many incredible options for how you can craft your perfect unique little farm. The beauty of Stardew Valley is that you can completely ignore all of those options completely and just enjoy the simple little house you have.
You can ignore the life of a farmer while still enjoying everything else the game has to offer. Sure, it makes the game a completely different experience, but that’s the price that must be paid when a game gives you control over how you play it.
9Hibernate In The Winter
While you do become somewhat limited by what you can do with your farm in the Winter season of Stardew Valley, you do still have some options. You could spend time in the mines or just get to know the other villagers.
You could also opt for something much, much more lazy. You could essentially hibernate for the Winter, sleeping through the cold months without doing anything at all.
It might feel a bit strange to do so, but maybe your character just really loves sleeping and really hates the cold.
8Be A Loner
As you play through Stardew Valley, you’ll find that there are plenty of great villagers that you can connect with at your leisure. You can learn about what motivates them, and hear about their past traumas, but you could also ignore that completely.

You could be the new guy that moves into town to be completely isolated from everyone else. You’ll be the old grump with that farm off in the corner of the valley, but that’s fine because you never moved out thereto make some lifelong friendsanyway.
7Supporting Joja Mart
While many of the options for playing Stardew Valley are just fun ways to play the game in unique ways, this might actually be the one true way to play the game wrong. The whole thing is about supporting a small town and building up your community and supporting Joja Mart is the exact opposite.
There is an entire route that you can see if you do support the nefarious corporation, but most players probably won’t. You can be that player that does everything wrong and supports that big corporation over the local businesses without ever batting an eye.
6Become A Monster Slayer
While the main focus of Stardew Valley is obviously to become the very best farmer that no one ever was, you could opt for a different career path. you’re able to keep farming to a complete minimum and instead become the world’s greatest fighter.
Thanks to all the small challenges you can undertakeas you traverse through the mines, you’ll find that you can become a legendary monster hunter. Stardew Valley is far from an action game, but you can make it one if you really want to.
5Specialize In A Single Crop
There are tons of fun crops you can try and cultivate over the various seasons in Stardew Valley, but you could decide that you’re going tobe a producer of one single crop type. Maybe you really want to be a dedicatedPumpkinpatch, and luckily, you can do that.
You’ll have to put in some work to be able to maintain your crops all year round, but it is still possible. It will also put you at a severe disadvantage in terms of growth, but you got to do what you got to do when it comes to the perfect farm aesthetic.
4Be One With Nature
Admittedly, this route will result in one of the most bizarre farms possible, but it is a creative way to play the game. Essentially, you can not harm any nature of any kind, meaning you can’t cut down trees or grass, and you can’t destroy all those pesky rocks.
Additionally, you can’t forage for food because then you’d be harming the ecosystem of Stardew Valley. All you can harvest is what you’ve planted in the ground with what little land you have available to do so.
It’s odd, but it is also a fun little challenge for veteran players.
3Do The Perfect Speedrun
Thanks to how much there is to do in Stardew Valley, a speedrun of the game can actually have a ton of different dimensions. You could aim torestore the community center as quickly as possible, or you could even aim to get married as quickly as possible.

You don’t need a relaxing game, you want something that puts you on the clock. You could naturally allow love to flourish in Stardew Valley, or you could completely love-bomb Leah or Shane in order to make some romance happen when you want it to.
2Sell Everything
Part of running a successful farm in Stardew Valley is selling off what you’ve managed to harvest, but most players aren’t going to sell absolutely everything they can.
That’s where you come in. You can sell everything except your most essential tools.
You don’t need all those extra seeds, sell them. Who needs all those rare gems and extra chests? You don’t need any place to store items when you’re selling everything you possibly can for all those dollar bills.
It’s a bit of an odd playthrough, but that’s what makes it so wrong.
1Be A High Standard Farmer
This is one way that is sure to make progression a lot more difficult in the early stages of the game, but it can be a fun challenge. Essentially, you could discard any and all crops that don’t meet your high standards, meaninganything lower than a gold star crop.
You’re going to struggle for a long time, but it’ll be worth it because you know you’re really putting your all into that farm. The people of Pelican Town may think you’re a bit odd, but maybe they just don’t understand your true greatness.
