Starfieldpulls at our emotions at the strangest times. The UC Vanguard questline can come across like a somewhat generic (albeit still riveting) us-versus-them, mankind-versus-monsters galactic adventure flick, but it still manages one of those infamous ‘Bethesda Game Studios wrinkles’ that can make for a surprisingly tough moral quandary.

In this case, that quandary revolves around your close ally for the questline, Hadrian - and more to the point, her supposedly-deceased war criminal father, whose survival and ongoing top-secret aid to the military you’ll discover about a third of the way into the story. Should you tell Hadrian ol' papa Vae Victis himself still lingers? Here’s where we stand.

If your conscience dictates telling Hadrian, then by all means, tell her. One of our files had us do the same thing. It’s a bum deal, keeping her cruel father’s existence away from her; especially when you factor the weird cloning angle into the equation. In fact, you’ll haveseveral opportunities to tell Hadrian, so if you neglect to do so the first time, there’ll still be more.

Here’s the thing, though.Keeping Vae Victis' survival a secret, as you’re requested to do so,nets you one more quest at the end of the UC Vanguard questline. This lets you tap into Francois Sanon’s ability to hunt down further UC criminals - or rather, his ability to tell you where to look. It’s a fun quest, and you’re completely locked out of it if at any point you inform Hadrian.

Why, you may ask? Well, becauseHadrian has a very principled viewpoint on Sanon’s survival- namely, that he reallyoughtto have been executed after the tribunal several years ago.If Hadrian ever finds out, and she will only find out through you, she notifies the UC council, and Sanon is belatedly put to deathfor his harrowing crimes at the conclusion of the war.

Your rewards for finishing the UC Vanguard questline won’t change, mind you, so other than the fun narrative flavor of doing Sanon’s pragmatic bidding a bit more, the ‘only’ things you’ll get from the bonus mission are experience, credits, and whatever else you might find.

So, Should I Or I Shouldn’t I Tell Hadrian?

Put plainly, you should inform Hadrian ifone or both of the following conditions are met:
