The Talent Tree inImmortals Of Aveumlets you unlock new powers associated with each of the three colors of magic. While you might lean toward the precision and defensive power of Blue, the close-range damage output of Red, or the versatility and fast movement of Green, you’ll need to master all three over the course of the game.

If you’re not sure which Talents to pick with your latest Ascension, these are some of the most useful in the game. Once you’ve built up a strong core with these abilities, you’ll be able to take anything Sandrakk throws at you!

the sharpshooter talent in immortals of aveum

10Sharpshooter

Sharpshooter is the first Talent in the Blue Magic tree, and while it’s not as flashy as some of the higher-level upgrades, itgives you a significant edge right at the start of the game.

While Blue Strikes are best for pulling off headshots, it’s not especially difficult to get them with Red or Green. Sharpshooter increases your critical hit damagewith Strikes of any color, ensuring that your precise casting counts for more.

the sap sphere talent in immortals of aveum

9Sap Sphere

Vortex is a handy spell forclustering foes together, setting them up for a big attack. Since you’re going to be spending Mana to do so, it makes sense to ensure that you do as much damage as possible with this tactic.

Sap Sphere makes enemies caught in your Vortextake twenty percent more damage.Who said overkill was a bad thing?

the Exalted Shield Ascension Talent in Immortals Of Aveum

8Exalted Shield

The Shield spell is essential for staying alive, whether it’s against Nightblade Archers, deadly beam attacks, or any of the other ranged attacks you’ll face throughout the game. The Shield needs to recharge after use, especially if it takes too much damage and breaks; that’s why you need tomake sure that it lasts as long as possible.

Exalted Shield gives your main protective spell a beefyfifty-percent health boost, letting it soak up all but the most forceful attacks. Paired with the right gear or a heavy focus on Blue Ascensions, you can turn it into a portable, impenetrable fortress!

the Siphon Shield Ascension Talent in Immortals Of Aveum

7Siphon Shield

Healing Crystals are the primary means of recovering health in Immortals of Aveum, and they can run out fast if you’re in over your head. Siphon Shield, a Green Talent that requires Blue Ascensions to unlock, provides youanother way of healing up.

Siphon Shield lets youheal for a quarter of the damage dealt to your Shield. Against most foes, it won’t be enough to matter, but if you build up your Shield to be able to take massive hits, standing strong in the face of a boss’s biggest spell can bring you back up to full!

the piercer talent in immortals of aveum

6Piercer

Unless you plan on going all-in on a specific color, the Strike upgrades in each branch are fairly underwhelming. The exception to this isPiercer, the second upgrade for Blue Strikes. Blue Strikes deal moderate damage per shot, and they especially shine when it comes to Critical Hits due to their exceptional accuracy.

Better still, Arclights and Javelins getadditional bonus damage from headshots. With Piercer, that bonus gets even larger, plus they’ll have a fifteen percent damage boost thanks to the Talent and its prerequisite. If you’re playing a sniper playstyle, this Talent is a must.

the guard step talent in Immortals of Aveum

5Guard Step

Blink is a great way to get out of danger, but it’s fairly common that you’ll still be under fire after you finish your teleport. With Guard Step, you can minimize the damage that you take while you make your next move.

This Talent causes Jack togain one hundred Armorfor two seconds after Blinking. That’s the equivalent of equipping a second decent-quality Bracer, and it will save your bacon in fights where you’re greatly outnumbered.

the greater blink talent in Immortals Of Aveum

Speaking of Blink, the main weakness of your fast-moving dodge spell is that itruns out of charges quickly. Trying to Blink when you’re tapped out not only feels bad, but it leaves you vulnerable to attacks, adding insult to injury.

Greater Blinkgives you an extra charge, letting you teleport up to three times in sequence. The amount of extra survivability that you get for the investment makes this well worth the Ascensions poured into Green, even if that color isn’t your main focus.

the red mastery talent in immortals of aveum

3Red Mastery

Red Magic has the highest raw damage output of the three colors, and the only thing holding it back is its short range and low accuracy. Up close, though, Red Strikes can clear hordes of Veki Crabs and melt Nightblades with little effort.

Since the Mastery Talents for each color provide apercentage-based damage boost, Red Magic’s comparatively enormous base stats offer the most to gain from its upgrade.

The Consuming Corrosion talent in Immortals Of Aveum

2Consuming Corrosion

On its own, Corrosion isn’t a particularly useful status effect to inflict on your foes; it simplyincreases the amount of damage they take from Red Magicfor a short time. However, if you invest in Green Talents to unlock Consuming Corrosion in Red, it becomes one of the game’s most useful tools.

You’llstill need separate Talents to actually apply Corrosion, typically through an upgraded melee attack, Disrupt, or Blastwave, but it’s worth the investment. The amount of damage that Consuming Corruption can deal over time makes basic enemies a breeze, and can evenspeed up boss fights considerably.

the Shred Punch talent in Immortals Of Aveum

1Shred Punch

Unless you’re built around Blue Magic and have some very specific Sigils, enemy Shields can be one of the game’s biggest nuisances. Your options are tospend Mana on Shatter, which can miss against later Shield enemies like Blue Commanders, orrelentlessly fire away with Blue Strikes, taking return fire until you finally break the Shield.

Shred Punch appears later in the game, but if you have enough Ascensions in Blue and Red to unlock it you should definitely do so.Smashing through Shields with a single melee attackwill have you wondering how you ever did it any other way.
