Summary
The Soulslike third-person shooter gameRemnant 2is pretty muchDark Soulswith guns. As with a lot of similar action RPGs that followFromSoftware’sformula, survival will rely on a mixture of your skills and the equipment of your character in-game. As such, the defense will be equally important as a good offense.
In that regard, Remnant 2 provides a pretty good selection of armor sets tailored to specific playstyles. There are a total of 18 armor sets, with each varying in overall defensive qualities. Understanding what type of character build you will develop is crucial to figuring out what armor sets best suit your needs. That said, there are top-tier armor sets that are clearly in a league of their own.

Updated on June 10, 2025, by Mohamed El Ouardighi:The Forgotten Kingdom, Remnant 2’s second DLC, introduces a plethora of new equipment for players, including some sleek and effective armor sets. We’ve made sure to include one of them in this updated list.
10Knotted Armor Set
The Knotted Set is designed specifically forthe Summoner archetypeand is that class’ starting armor set. Despite being a starter armor set, the Knotted armor offers fantastic defense against toxins and provides wearers with more than adequate protection and resilience. The unusual aesthetics of the Knotted Set exude a rather mysterious and threatening vibe that will be a huge factor for those looking to create a character with beastly elements.
Besides getting it at the start if you pick the Summoner archetype, the Knotted Armor Set can also be obtained by traveling to the Blood Moon Altar in Yaesha. The Knotted Set is classified as heavy armor, so managing encumbrance will be something to take into consideration if you are going to go with this creepy defensive garb.

9Technician Armor Set
The Technician Armor Set features a sleek, cutting-edge aesthetic and a cool, almost alien-looking helmet. That said, the Technician Armor Set will require a mix of skill and luck to obtain, as its spawn rate varies wildly. You need to go to N’Erud and search the edges of the map. The armor does tend to appear more often in Titan’s Reach, so that is the recommended spot to look for it. Keep an eye out for spires that are protruding from the ground with a passable gap in them. It is best to use a walkthrough here.
If you don’t want to wander around randomly in N’Edur, the alternative method to get a hold of this armor set is by pickingthe Engineer archetype, as the Technician Armor Set is its default armor. As for the performance aspect, the Technician Armor Set provides outstanding protection against electrical attacks and also has a solid defense rating.

8Void Armor Set
The Void Armor Set can be obtained immediately if you buy the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Remnant 2. If you have the regular edition, you will need to complete the campaign first to unlock the Void armor set in Whispers’ shop. It is a pretty solid armor set and is one of the best in the game.
Aesthetically, the Void Armor is amazing in a ‘heavy metal’ kind of way. The armor set looks like what a knight’s armor would be if you starved it for a month. An emaciated, skeleton-like appearance makes the Void armor stand out as a haunting and frightening protective suit in a game filled with terrifying monsters.

7Nightstalker Armor Set
The Nightstalker Armor Set looks like it came right out of an Assassin’s Creed game. This armor is the starting equipment ofthe Hunter archetype, but it is also available for purchase from Whisper in Ward 13. The suit provides a pretty good all-around defense without reducing your mobility in the field.
Equipping the full set will further improve your defensive properties while still allowing you to do normal dodge moves. The armor also has reliable blight resistance.

6Radiant Armor Set
This solid armor set is available from the get-go if you got the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Remnant 2; alternatively, you may purchase it from Whispers. The Radiant Armor offers well-rounded resistance against fire, electricity, bleeding, and blight damage. In terms of appearance, the Radiant Armor set is pretty sweet with its blend of sci-fi and medieval aesthetics.
Take note that the Radiant Armor set is classified as heavy armor, so movement and dodge will be hindered if you don’t have a high enough encumbrance. Wearing the appropriate accessories can mitigate the drawbacks of wearing heavy armor for your mobility.

5Bruiser Armor Set
you may guess where this armor set shines from its name. It is designed for absolute defense and is the appropriate starting armor forthe Challenger archetype. The Bruiser Armor set can also be bought in Ward 13 if you pick a different archetype for your campaign.
The Bruiser Armor set prioritizes defense over everything else, as is evident in its rough and rugged design. The Bruiser Armor set looks like something a heavily armored medieval knight would wear. Not the most comfortable fit, but it will keep you alive longer on the battlefield. Thanks to its high armor rating, the Bruiser set is idealif you want to go toe-to-toewith the various monsters in the game.

4Fae Royale Armor Set
The Fae Royale Armor Set is one of the flashier armors that you’re able to get in Remnant 2. With its more fantasy-oriented aesthetic, the Fae Royale Armor set stands out in a game set in a post-apocalyptic Hellscape. This is heavy armor with impressive defense and resistance against fire, bleed, and blight damage.
To obtain the Fae Royale Armor set, you must first completethe minigame at the Postulant’s Parlor in Losomn. That’s not all, though; as you complete said minigame, you still need to find the correct door as to where the Fae Royale Armor set is located. Its location is random, so it might take a while.

3Crimson Guard Armor Set
When you first lay eyes on the Crimson Guard Set, you might notice it bears a resemblance to the Fae Royal Set. However, this one’s special; it’s exclusive tothe Awakened King DLC. This heavy armor not only rocks a stylish look but also kicks it up a notch in resisting bleed and fire.
The defense it offers is a solid choice, giving you both protection and style to flaunt. To get the Crimson Guard Armor Set, you’ll have to pay your respects tothe Red Princewhen you come across him in the Awakened King andtake down the One True King. It’s a little something extra to earn your battle gear!

2Disciple Armor Set
The Disciple Armor Set is a fresh addition from the Forgotten Kingdom DLC, and let me tell you, it not only looks stylish but also packs a punch in terms of effectiveness. Rated at a solid 96, this heavy armor offers impressive resistance against shock and fire damage. So, if you’re up against foes dishing out these types of attacks, this set has got your back.
Just like any heavy armor, you’ll want to keep an eye on your weight to avoid slowing down. This set is exclusive to the Forgotten Kingdom, as mentioned earlier, and you may find it on your journey to unlock the Invoker archetype.

1Leto Mark 2 Armor Set
The Leto Mark 2 is an S-tier armor set with an incredibly high armor rating of 168. It is the best armor in the game in terms of defense and even has impressive levels of resistance against fire, bleed, electricity, blight, and toxin damage.
The downside is that this is an ultra-heavy armor set, so equipping the right rings and amulets is a must if you don’t want your encumbrance to go over the limit. The Leto Mark 2 Armor set can be found in the Labyrinth, specifically within the Fractured Ingress. This armor set islocated near the Chicago Typewriter, a fantastic fully automatic long gun.
