There are limitless squad combinations inEA Sports FC 24Ultimate Team, but with only 11 slots, there are difficult decisions to make. Once you’ve decided on your strongest starting 11, your best remaining players will fill out your bench.
However, your substitute bench will rarely have the best players in the game, as you’d typically like to include those players in your starters. Thus, the best super subs in EA Sports FC 24 are players who are either hard to fit into a squad for chemistry reasons or are just below the quality of your starter in the same position.
10RTTK Edin Dzeko – 88 Overall
Road To The Knockouts Edin Dzeko is a great example of the type of player you want on your bench. A Turkish League affiliation along with his Bosnia & Herzegovina nationality make Dzeko incredibly hard to link with other top-tier starters in most EASFC 24 teams.
Luckily, as a substitute, you’re able to ignore these factors that would normally make Dzeko less useful and instead focus solely on his skills with a football.Dzeko’s primary asset is his Shooting, which clocked in at an incredible 89 to offset his relatively disappointing Pace attribute.
9Leroy Sane – 84 Overall
While it’s a wonderful luxury to bring high-rated promo cards off your bench, you should spend minimal coins on bench players to maximize your coins available to buy the best starters in EASFC 24. Leroy Sane’s Gold Card won’t cost you a pretty penny, and he’s just as good atdoing the Griddywhen you score with him as anyone else.
While his 84 rating doesn’t inspire immense confidence, Sane excels as a substitute due to his high 91 Pace which allows him to take advantage of tired defenders. The best bench players in EASFC 24 don’t need to be perfectly well-rounded, but they do need to do at least one thing exceptionally well; for Sane, it’s his Pace that earns him a substitute spot.
Rinsola Babajide is an excellent bench option, as you’re able to acquire her for free by completing her associated Squad Foundation in the Milestones Objectives tab.In addition to her accessibility, Babajide also touts a variety of possible positions, with the talent to play LW, ST, RW, and LM.
To complement her versatility, Babajide also boasts a blazing 90 Pace to supplement a well-rounded set of attributes, with each major category eclipsing 80, save for her Defending. Given her ability to act as a forward wherever needed and uncanny speed, Rinsola Babajide offers a reliable option for any bench.
7Karim Benzema – 90 Overall
The former Ballon D’Or winner was once a mainstay among La Liga teams, but his move to Al Ittihad in the Saudi League makes him very difficult to link in most teams made up of players from the top five leagues. As such, Benzema is one of the most common 90+ overall players in EASFC 24, making him a decent bench option.
If you’re lucky enough to pull him untradeable, you’ll have Benzema’s 88 Shooting and 87 Dribbling to help you secure a late winner off the bench. Unfortunately, much like Dzeko, Benzema’s Pace is lacking, so he won’t blow past defenders but will find himself in excellent scoring positions.
While Pace is a massive boost,Target Strikers can still be used effectivelyto score goals.
Use your wingers and wingbacks to crossthe ball into dangerous areasfor Target Strikers like Benzemato get on the end of and score.
6Moussa Diaby – 84 Overall
If slow, strategic movement and passing sounds too much like real football to you, then fear not, asPace merchants– like Moussa Diaby –are here to save you from ever letting go of your Sprint button. In a starting 11, Diaby certainly would perform well, but his lack of a strong end product would start to become apparent against fresh defenders.
As a bench player, not only will Diaby be able to excel against tired opposition, but he also can play on either side of midfield as RM or LM, and can even shift up to RW when needed. Using Diaby in any of these wide areas is smart, especially considering his 95 Pace and 86 Dribbling which should make him difficult to track down.
5RTTK Jonathan David – 86 Overall
Much like Squad Foundations Rinsola Babajide, Jonathan David’s RTTK card can also be acquired for free, this time for completing his associated SBC (Squad Builder Challenge). While David is certainly not one ofthe best Skill Move users in EASFC 24, he offers a five-star weak foot instead.
As a Striker, David’s ability to score with either foot is immensely helpful for tight scenarios where you can’t move the ball to his strong foot to shoot. His 88 Pace and 87 Shooting combine the best aspects of players like Babajide and Dzeko into one very effective package.
4TOTW Racheal Kundananji – 85 Overall
Racheal Kundananji’s Team of The Week certainly makes quite a positive impact off the bench, especially when you need a goal at all costs. Her 92 Pace and 89 Physical make Kundananji incredibly difficult to dispossess, allowing you to bulldog your way through tight defenses if you’re crafty.
Her 85 Dribbling should further improve Kundananji’s ability to retain possession and get into dangerous scoring positions. Last, but certainly not least, Kundananji boasts a set of seven PlayStyles including Relentless, First Touch, Technical, and Trivela, making her an immense threat on offense.
3Evolution Ansu Fati – 85 Overall
Ansu Fati is an incredibly Pacey and potent option off the bench, particularly when heundergoes a Relentless Winger Evolution. After evolving to an 85 overall, Fati’s attributes skyrocketed to feature 94 Pace and 89 Dribbling to go with 83 Shooting.
Imagine a young, more unproven Neymar and you have a rough idea of what this Fati card will perform like on the pitch. Adding the Relentless PlayStyle to go with Fati’s Rapid and Quick-Step should noticeably upgrade his offensive effectiveness.
2RTTK Ousmane Dembele – 89 Overall
Ousmane Dembele is typically not going to be on the bench. However, if you have a high-level team, and you’re not running with enough Ligue 1 players, then Dembele will prove a perfect bench option. His 96 Pace and 90 Dribbling are unbelievably high, especially considering RTTK is an early-game promotion.
Dembele simply has no weakness when it comes to skills with his feet, and you will notice the benefits of his Trickster, Flair, and Quick-Step PlayStyles. Lastly, Dembele’s 72 Stamina makes it very unlikely he’ll make it through 90 minutes, so limiting him to the bench will be his best role long-term unless you have Mbappe to start with him.
1Lionel Messi – 90 Overall
Messi snatches the title of best super sub in EASFC 24 away from Ousmane Dembele, namely because Messi’s league prevents him from linking with as many starters as Dembele might be able to. Aside from his more limited chemistry value, Messi is the perfect super sub to first win the mind games with your opponent.
Of course, Lionel Messi is going to be able to impact the game with 94 Dribbling, 90 Passing, and 87 Shooting, but seeing a 90-rated Messi step onto the field is a terrifying sight for any opposing manager. The intimidation factor along with Messi’s exceptional skills will surprise both you and your opponent time and time again.
