Farming crops is one of the trademark parts of Disney’s cozy farming and life simulation game,Disney Dreamlight Valley. Farming is essential to acquire ingredients for cooking recipes, and can be used to earn star coins. Star coins are in-game currency that can be used for anything from house upgrades, to buying items from Scrooge McDuck’s shop.

Whether you want something from Scrooge’s shop, or you’re just trying to do the most efficient farming possible, knowing the best biome to grow each crop may be beneficial.
The Plaza
The Plaza iswhere your house is located at the beginning of the game.If your house is still there, you might find it convenient to grow crops nearby. You can grow any crops wherever you want, butnone of the crops will grow faster in the Plaza area.
If you want to make the most of your timegrowing crops in a specific biome gives you an advantage. You can always tell which crops will grow better in a certain biome, because alittle triangle pointing upward will appearover whatever seeds benefit from growing in the area in which you’re planting.
Items thatcan be grown or harvestedwill show up in theingredients section under the collections tab. Ingredients that can be grown will showthe regular growth time.
Peaceful Meadow
The best crops to grow in Peaceful Meadow arecarrots, lettuce and wheat.None of these crops require multiple waterings, just water once and you’re all set.

Dazzle Beach
On the sandy shores of Dazzle Beach, the best crops to grow arecorn, sugarcane, and tomato. However, thesemay need to be watered more than once,so keep an eye on them.

Forest Of Valor
Bell pepper, canola and onionare the best crops to grow in the Forest of Valor and as with Dazzle Beach theymay require a second watering.

Frosted Heights
If you think things can’t grow in the snowy biome of Frosted Heights, you’re in for a surprise.Asparagus, cucumber and eggplantall have improved growth in that biome, with asecond watering often required.

Sunlit Plateau
For the Sunlit Plateau biome, there are a total offour crops that have enhanced growth rates with two waterings required.The best crops for the biome arechili pepper, cotton, soya, and zucchini.

Glade Of Trust
This swamp-like biome is a wonderful place to tend crops ofokra, rice, and spinach, just remember to check for asecond watering.

Forgotten Lands
Last, but not least, the Forgotten Lands biome provides enhanced growth forleeks, potatoes, and pumpkins.
Pumpkins sell for the most amount of goldout of all the crops, so if you’re planning on farming large quantities for star coins, you’ll definitely want toplant them in the Forgotten Lands biomeand check them torewater.

Tip: Accelerated growth rates seem to only work during the day. If you’re growing crops in the evening or overnight,they will take longer than the times listed under the ingredients sectionof the menu.
Though these are the best biomes for each type of crop, it’s good to know thatyou’re only saving about ten percent growth time.
In most cases it’s a matter of a few minutes, but if you’re wanting to make the most of each biome and shave a little time off the growing cycle, taking advantage of enhanced growth times helps, especially when farming pumpkins.
