One of the main features that makesLies of Pstand out is being able to disassemble weapons and then put them back together to make perfectly optimized weapons for your encounters. While the Frankenstein-ed weapons can be amazing, in some categories they are simply outdone by the set special weapons.

What these boss weaponslack in customizability, they make up for with unique qualities and stunning designs. However, these treasures are not all created equal, so which of the special weapons are the best, and which should be overlooked in favour of a special amulet?
10Etiquette
None of the special weapons are bad, but Etiquette unfortunately sticks out a little less than the rest, which is unfortunate since it has one of the best umbrella-themed designs in the game. This special weapon is exchanged for the boss ergo from Chapter 2, and it is perfect for a technique build.
There are unfortunately better technique special weapons you will find throughout the rest of Lies of P, but, this is the only special weapon that is a dagger, so if you love that playstyle, then this could be a perfect choice.
9Frozen Feast
Similarly to Etiquette, Frozen Feast is still a good weapon, but is unfortunately outclassed by other special weapons in its class, this time being motivity weapons. It is a little bit worse off, since there is even a better special weapon greatsword for a motivity build that is a better choice than Frozen Feast.
It is still a passable choice, and you can build it to be one of the best greatsword in Lies of P, especially since it has great fable arts. On top of this, choosing this blade over the amulet allows you to pursuea quest linethat would otherwise be locked off.
8Uroboros' Eye
One of the highlights of Lies of P is, after beating a boss, being able to see the jaw-dropping design of the special weapon you’re able to get from their ergo, and the circular design of Uroboros' Eye is the best example of this.
The reward for thwarting Laxasia is worth the effort, and it is not just a unique-looking blade, but also has a unique playstyle as well. For a technique blade, it has amazing range, as well as unique fable arts. It is just frustrating that you have to wait until so late in the game to receive it.
7Seven Coil Spring Sword
It can be tempting in the early game to use the special boss ergo for levels, especially if you are unaware of the trade you’re able to do with Alidoro for the weapons. However, if you manage to save the ergo from the first boss until meeting him, you get one of the best greatswords in Lies of P.

The Seven Coil Spring Sword has an amazing design, and like many of the special weapons, a unique feature that makes it useful. If you may time your blocks correctly, this greatsword will not just parry but deal damage, making it a great tool for passive damage on a motivity build.
6Puppet Ripper
Romeo is one of the toughest encounters throughout all of Lies of P, so it is great that the reward you get for beating him is one of the most satisfying technique weapons. After dealing with the scythe attacks in his second phase, being able to unlock your own scythe is cathartic.
The weapon is definitely slow for a technique weapon, but it makes up for this with astounding range. The heavy attacks extend the scythe for a long-reach hit.
5Noblesse Oblige
If you manage to take down Simon Manus at the end of Lies of P, you will be able to unlock Noblesse Oblige, which is able to deal some of the best damage in Lies of P if you are using a motivity build. The Fable Arts are able to deal massive damage, but this comes with the price of being an incredibly slow weapon.
However, if you have made it this far building motivity, wielding this challenging blade should come more naturally as it’s one of the last weapons you will get in Lies of P.
4Trident Of The Covenant
After beating the transformed Archbishop Andreus at the end of Chapter 4, you will be able to unlock Alidoro’s shop, so this is likely to be one of the first special weapons you unlock. In spite of this, it is one of the best for a technique build. It has a great range since it is a spear, and some unique qualities as well.

If you are able to time your parries well enough, you’re able to get some distance from your foe to be able to safely deal further damage. It can take a while to learn, but if you master it, this technique weapon can carry you to the end of the game.
3Proof Of Humanity
The Nameless Puppet is the secret final boss in Lies of P that you might not even run into if you do not meet certain criteria by the end of the narrative. For the final encounter, you might be surprised to find that this boss gives you a special weapon, but this is true with the Proof of Humanity.
This blade is unlike other special weapons, both in its more minimalist, yet still striking, design, but also in its balance. This is the best special weapon for a quality build, but it is a shame that you will have to wait until post-game to use it.
2Holy Sword Of The Ark
A factor that holds back a lot of the motivity-focused weapons in Lies of P is the lack of versatility, and how tricky they can be to wield, but this is not the case for the Holy Sword of the Ark.
Your reward for beating Fuoco, one of the most challenging early-game bosses, is this special greatsword, which canextend its reach for a boosted rangeor instead shorten itself back for extra damage. An issue with motivity builds can be the extra weight, so only needing one weapon like this can make avoiding attacks a lot easier.
1Two Dragons Sword
An issue with the other special weapons best for technique builds can be their relatively gimmicky nature that can make wielding them challenging to keep up with during tense encounters. This is why the Two Dragons Sword, the reward for beating the boss for Chapter 8, is refreshing.
The sword is incredibly lightweight, making moving around the battlefield a breeze, but it also has great range thanks to its Fable Arts. Its charge attack has a built-in parry, so dealing damage is automatically a lot more simple as well.
