Perhaps you aren’t sure which strategy is calling your name just yet. No matter if you are ready to battle or just getting started, the following cards might be exactly what you are looking for to boost yourself to champion status.

10Rapunzel, Gifted With Healing

There might come a point in the game where you are feeling a little low on cards in your hand. Having the opportunity to draw more could be a huge benefit. Now while there are other cards like Stitch, Rock Star that also allows you to draw cards, the reason we are focusing on Rapunzel is due to the bonus feature of removing three damage.

She might look like a small card with her one Strength, but she is perfectly set up to swing in to save the day. With a reasonable ink cost and five Willpower, Gifted with Healing is a great solution to saving a card from being banished while also expanding your hand.

9Simba, Returned King

Every deck needs that one power hitter that will just clean up the board and Simba: Returned King does just that in two ways. The first being that when he challenges someone,as a Challenger cared, he gains +4 to his Strength for a total of eight. Which might be the highest out of the deck.

As well as this, on his turn he becomes Evasive, meaning he can challenge other Evasive types. Be careful, however, because this does not mean that he is Evasive on your opponents' turns, meaning they won’t have to also have Evasive to challenge him. With only two lore, this card’s only real purpose is to dominate in challenges.

8Belle, Strange but Special

One thing we learned from Belle is to not judge a book by its cover, and this card is no exception. What might look like a small throw away card might hold the secret to unlocking a lot of ink quickly. The best thing about this card is the fact that on your turn you can choose to put an additional card in the inkwell. This is great if you are working towards a strategy that will require a lot of ink, like playing Simba, Returned King.

Plus, once your inkwell adds up to ten or more, you gain +4 to lore for a total of five. There is another card that earns four lore, but costs eight to do so. If you got far enough to trigger My Favorite Part, you would be earning five lore for half that cost.

7Mother Gothel, Selfish manipulator

You will have to make a lot of tough decisions in Disney Lorcana, but one of the hardest is going to be choosing between questing and challenging. Ideally, you want to push your opponent to quest less, which creates the best chance to keep them from winning. This is why Selfish Manipulator is a doozy of a card.

The important factor to keep in mind though is that if they are not questing or exerted, they cannot be challenged. This is a great card to stall the game, and maybe buy some time while you feed the inkwell or stock up on items.

6Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer And Magic Broom, Bucket Brigade

There are a lot of cards that act alone, and then there are some cards that combine with others. It’s hard to rely a lot of strategy on combinations because it all comes down to what you draw, but in this case, it might be worth a shot. This is mostly due to the fact that it keeps ink costs low, while helping bring back discards.

It doesn’t hurt that the Wayward Sorcerer also carries some weight in regard to the 3/4 and two lore. While also being rather reasonable in ink which makes it easier to play at any time.

5Maurice, World-Famous Inventor

This card is all about the items and is exactly what you need if you plan on playing them. Every time you quest for the two lore, you also receive a cost reduction for the next item played. On top of that, every time you play an item card, you also get to draw.

It is nice that he is guarded well with a seven Willpower, making him slightly harder to banish. However, the struggle here comes down to the cost to play and if you should play or hold onto item cards in the meantime.

4Maximus, Palace Horse

One of the things that keeps people from playing good cards that are lower in Strength and Willpower is the fear of being easily defeated. This is why it’s so important to make sure that you are maximizing ways to protect them, like Palace Horse which is usedas a Bodyguardand Support character.

Standing at 4/5 Maximus is well-equipped to handle a fight heading his way. Plus, that four strength really comes in handy when you’re able to add it to another character while questing, which ideally is more of a reason to do so than the one lore.

3Aladdin: Heroic Outlaw

There are a few cards that have benefits for banishing, including Mulan, Imperial Soldier which are always good to have in your deck. One of the things that makes Heroic Outlaw stand out is the loss of lore. Not only will you gain some for winning the challenge, but each opponent loses two. This makes the heavy cost of seven more reasonable, along with the 5/5.

The main focus here is the attributes he brings to a challenge, but theability to shiftshould never be overlooked either.

2Dr. Facilier, Agent Provocateur

As touched on earlier, cards that have bonuses regarding banishing are a must-have. However, unlike Aladdin’s card that gave you a boost when he banished someone, Agent Provocateur gives you a level of protection with regard to your characters being banished.

This is one of those cards that might be the whole reason you end up playing a certain deck, like Amethyst. Especially if you have other powerful cards that might be easily defeated. Not an extremely hard hitter in a fight, this card works better at gathering lore quickly and as a last-ditch save effort.

1Tinker Bell, Giant Fairy

This card has a bit of attitude with it which fits perfectly for our leading fairy Tinker Bell. Overall this card is well-balanced in regard to how it can be played. Sitting in the middle range of cost with a 4/5, Giant Fairy can carry her own in a fight. She also has the ability to shift and bring in two lore. And as we all know cards with banishing effects/abilities are top tier.

What makes her tower over the rest of the cards is the added damage she brings with her. For example, when she is played she deals one damage to each opposing character. On top of that, Puny Pirate allows a bonus of two damage to be added to any chosen character. Chances are this card will be well known for taking out two characters at a time, leaving your opponents to be more fearful than Hook with a crocodile.
