With flare and fun, it’s colorful, bright, amusing, and a great game of the year contender. There’s a reason we’ve given it such ahigh score and called it a masterpiece.

Final Fantasy 14 is one of the best MMO games to play on your PlayStation. Having finally switched from PC to PS5 and playing healer with a controller, I can say it’s even better on console (unless of course, you have the highest high-end technical PC).
With Dawntrail, you may splash into the latest adventures with your Warrior of Light in a brand new area, with several improvements, including a graphics update that makes everything look even better than before.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
Explore a new region and a new story for one of the best games of the century. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree feels like a brand new game in a familiar yet new place.
There’s something uniquely special about Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. A DLC that feels like a new sequel to an old game, it’s the definitive way downloadable content should be handled for large-scale video games. With its popularity and difficulty, if you truly want a challenge, check out what Shados of the Erdtree has to offer.

It’s a perfect stop for Ubisoft fans, but it works well if you have a little knowledge of their more popular IP. Even if you don’t the game runs well enough that you’ll be able to hop in and have a good time.
Stellar Blade
Shift Up has created a deceptively challenging and engaging action title in Stellar Blade. You’ll play as Eve, battling several alien invaders in combat reminiscent of Soulsborne titles, creating a challenging yet rewarding experience as you attempt to reclaim the Earth.
Divisive though it may be, Stellar Blade is one of those games you really need to try for yourself. Underneath its exterior is a stellar (get it) action title that’ll have you feeling sufficiently challenged but satisfactorily rewarded at its boss fights and mechanics. If you enjoy a parry mechanic in a game, definitely keep Stellar Blade on your radar.
Enemy designs are fantastic, and character development, story, and puzzles are lackluster, but as a package, it’s definitely enough to warrant a space as one of the best PS5 games of 2024 so far, despite its flaws.
Hi-Fi Rush
Feel the beat and attack to the rhythm with this unique entry from Tango Gameworks. Originally on the Xbox, Hi-Fi Rush has made its way to the PS5, so you’re able to use the dual sense to keep a rhythm and help Chai defeat the mega-corporation.
The once Xbox exclusiveis finally available for PS5 players to get their hands on, and it’s well worth it to catch this beat. Hi-Fi Rush provides a unique style of gameplay, where your main character, Chai, always attacks enemies to the beat.
Unlock new skills and strategies while attacking in time to take down the big bad mega-corporation. With fun characters, great voice acting, and a mechanical arm and a guitar made of scrap, you can’t go wrong with giving Hi-Fi Rush a try.
Helldivers 2
Do your part for Super Earth in the name of Democracy. with Helldivers 2. From being squished by big bugs to enjoying laugh-out-loud moments with the squad, Helldivers 2 creates the perfect multiplayer experience on the PS5.
