8Rabbit Sonic

This skin is a bit of a love letter to Sonic’s history. Originally, Sonic the Hedgehog was a rabbit in the earliest design. This skin is a nod to that history and it actually looks pretty amazing. The original prototype has been refined and modernized for this skin, which gives players a glimpse of what might have been.

The skin is available only through the digital deluxe edition of the game, a choice that has been somewhat controversial in the gaming community because so many players want to try this skin out for themselves. This is one of few skins available outside of Battle Mode and it’s only available for Sonic, the hero of the game.

7Metal Skins

If you’re interested in the lore of Sonic and his pals, you’ll love the metal skins available in the Battle Mode. Dr. Eggman has created these robots, which serve as enemies and as wearable customization options.

All four characters have a metal skin they can wear, which features customizable legs, arms, bodies, and heads. you may even mix and match different parts from different characters and create some really unique designs.

6Clown

The clown head is available through the Battle Mode customization and it’s just creepy enough that you’ll either love it or hate it. The head is full color with plenty of red accents, which stands out pretty well in Sonic’s green world.

There are some cute skins to choose from and some cool skins to choose from in Sonic Superstars, but when what you want is just a little bit frightening, the clown head is a perfect choice.

Sonic Superstars Mecha Wolf head

5Mecha Sonic

The Mecha Sonic skin is available only through the Digital Deluxe Edition or the Digital Upgrade, which you can purchase on top of the base game. It has the same metallic look as the other Battle Mode skins but it’s a complete outfit, so you can’t swap out the arms and legs like you can with the other skins in the customization menu.

The skin is available to wear in Battle Mode. You will find it in the Downloadable Content section in the customization menu once you’ve added it to your game. This skin looks lean and mean and it’s definitely battle-ready. Mecha skins are also available for the other three characters helping Sonic on his journey.

Sonic Superstars Prototype skin

4Mecha Wolf

you may purchase the Mecha Wolf head for 25 coins at the built-in online shop. This is one of many different head options you can choose to wear with metal bodies and other customizable parts that are available through Battle Mode.

There are lots of cool-looking options in this customization menu, but the Mecha Wolf is particularly great-looking. Wolves are already known to be clever and dangerous and the metal, mechanical look just makes this skin even more menacing.

3Prototype

You will get one prototype skin in the online store for free, but if you want to buy extra for other characters, you’ll have to pay 50 coins each. The prototype skin is one of the metallic skins available in Battle Mode and it looks like a base model for all the different adaptable pieces you can add to the Battle Mode designs.

The prototype skin is simple but stunning and it looks amazing even without any modifications, which means the design is really great to begin with. If Sonic and friends turned into a butt-kicking robot army, this is the kind of look they would have. And finally, they do!

2Comic Book

The comic book skin pack gives all four characters a comic book look that fits in perfectly with Sonic’s world. This skin pack became unintentionally controversial when it was released extremely briefly, then pulled entirely, an apparent mistake that got the gaming world buzzing.

The skin pack is available as downloadable content and since this addition to the game has proved to be somewhat tricky in the past, it’s a good idea to get the comic books skins as soon as you decide you want them.

1Lego

Lego and Sonic the Hedgehog have a long relationship and there is a huge variety of different Lego sets and Sonic character builds available. Sonic infiltrated Lego a long time ago. Now, it’s LEGO’s turn to come into Sonic’s world.

The Lego skins turn Sonic, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles into Lego characters, which gives them a distinct look that’s just pure fun. The Lego skin pack can be downloaded and added to the game for free.
