In January 2023, Miley Cyrus came out with the hit single ‘Flowers,’ her first new song in quite a while, quickly rising to one billion streams on Spotifyand debuting number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It’s also one of her most personal songs, as the lyrics are speculated to be about her painful breakup with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
The lyrics are both melancholy and uplifting and the choreography and map nail the aesthetics of the song perfectly, with more brooding and slower moves at the start, before the character’s sunglasses come off and you completely let loose and feel liberated. Some of the moves match Miley’sfrom the music video, and the living room and pool locations are an homage to that as well.

Continue celebrating and showing your support for Britney’s freedom and dance to ‘Gimme More!’ This Britney Spears song is a classic banger from 2007 that still remains just as much of a hit today. It’s an even better track to revisit if you’ve read her memoir, ‘The Woman in Me,’ where she shares her thoughts on this song and the live performance of it during the 2007 VMAs.
For family-friendly purposes, the developers remove the iconic “It’s Britney, bitch” line from the intro, and the setting is instead Agent D’s base — the lyrics displaying as text on the monitors is a clever use of the background. The moves connect with every lyric and match the original’s fierceness and sensuality with new sharp choreography.

DJ David Guetta has made some incredible hits throughout his career, and his 2022 collaboration with Bebe Rexha for the song ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ proves he’s still going strong. This is the ultimate feel-good anthem with a chorus that can replay endlessly in your head, and dancing to it in Just Dance 2024 is truly mesmerizing and eye-popping.
Just like the collaboration, this song is a duet with a blue mascot character wearing star sunglasses and a female coach in a flower outfit and pink hat. The movements include a lot of elbow work throughout the song, with them frequently pumping inward, outward, or up high. The level starts like you’re interacting with audience members at a concert, and soon you’re bouncing on a floating platform traveling through a gorgeous futuristic planet.

The song may be called ‘Never Be Like You,’ but you may remember it more for the repeating chorus, “I’m only human, can’t you see? I made, I made a mistake.” It was released in 2016, so it’s been out for quite a while, but better late than never because Kai’s vocals and the production quality from Flume make it one of the most unforgettable songs.
The song has a deep and reflective motif about guilt after cheating on somebody, but the game is able to create such a vibrantly colorful backdrop that takes you dancing through waterfalls and floating mountains as though you’re on Pandora, andyou even transform into a silly pandatoward the end. The music requires rotations and extensions of arms and knees with quick fluid, twisty movements, hence the hard rating.

This is probably one of the most important songs in Just Dance 2024’s library because it’s a piece of hip-hop history. ‘Rapper’s Delight’ by The Sugar Hill Gang is one of the first-ever recorded rap songs in 1979 to become a global hit and give rise to the genre. The hip-hop culture is also majorly celebrated in the level design, with graffiti art everywhere, boomboxes, and the East 141st Bronx neighborhood, the borough credited as the birthplace of hip-hop in the ’70s.
Here, the song is a cover by Groove Century, but the visuals and animation style are unlike any other song level in the game and transport you to the ’70s New York scene. It goes for a distinct claymation design, with the transitions flowing as smoothly as the bars. It’s also a solo song, but how the Sugar Hill members are incorporated as MCs for their parts is well executed.

Bad Bunny is all the hype in the music world right now, and one of the most successful male Latin trap and reggaeton artists worldwide. He even holds the honor of beingSpotify’s most-streamed artist for three years in a row. ‘Tití Me Preguntó’ is just the latest hit he put out at the time of the game’s launch, and it’s included in Just Dance 2024 to be performed by a trio of dancers, one of the characters resembling Bad Bunny.
The setting uses somekey aspects of the original music videofor the song, such as the red payphone and the characters dancing outside a grocery store inspired by Juanitos Grocery, and the art style, clothing, and lime green smiley face on the street sign are all Bad Bunny aesthetics. The moves are repetitive but fun and easy to figure out with the lyrics, with “Say cheese” making you go into a selfie pose.

Rising pop star Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘vampire’ isthe number-one debut Billboard Hot 100 songfrom her sophomore album Guts. It’s a solo song where she’s singing retaliatory lyrics possibly aimed at an ex, whom she calls out for “Bleedin' me dry like a goddamn vampire.”
Just Dance 2024 creates a better story around the lyrics and turns the song into a duet with characters Ari and Grace in a high school prom setting. Ari is in a blue dress, while Grace is a prom queen in a ruffled pink dress, and it seems the romantic feud has to do with Grace being a popular girl in school and Ari using her for her fame like a vampire.

The song starts with a split-screen of the two characters divided, followed by a seamless transition of the pair reuniting on the gym floor. The movements often have you dance together and chain sequences, like pulling yourselves toward each other and placing your hands together patty cake-style.

Iconic K-pop group BTS makes it into yet another Just Dance entry, and this time the quartet of coaches — Gray, Haze, Joy-Ce, and T-Bam — are having you groove to their hit song ‘Butter.’ The chorus of this song is super catchy, and the lyrics lead seamlessly into the choreography, with some of ittaken straight out of the music video.
The snake motions with your arms, the shush sign with your finger for “Cause talk is cheap,” and “Side step right left to my beat” having you brush your arm over your head and push your legs to the side are also paired with new moves like two players positioning their arms to form a mirror and all four doing spins around each other. The colors changing from yellow to neon pink, purple, and blue are also a nod to the music video.

‘Sail’ is one of the most powerful alternative rock songs in both instrumentals and lyrics, and it’s the song AWOLNATION is most recognized for (also the band’s most streamed on Spotify with nearly 800 million streams). The lyrics immediately intrigue you with their harsh and disturbing tone, but the tempo just also makes you want to rock out and be numb to what’s being sung.
The devs took the song title literally and set the map on a pirate ship, but it’s super effective at capturing the heart of the music rather than being a silly theme. The choreography is expressive and palpable. You can feel the character’s passion directed at every move during the song, manifesting the verses. The element of the boat swaying to correspond with the “do do do do doo” synth is brilliantly dramatic as well.

Yes - Extravaganza Version
This Whitney Houston Grammy-winning song should be the Just Dance anthem, period. Released all the way back in 1987, this song has finally made it onto the soundtrack. It’s topped worldwide charts and is the songBillboard deems the number one pop song ever. Ironically, however, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ is a single-player experience, but you have plenty of background dancers joining in.
The movements get a lot of hip action going and have you moving side-to-side with your feet crossed while additionally incorporating some retro dance moves that make you feel like you’re in a Disco. You’re not actually in the club on this map, though the inside of the vinyl record shop where you’re jamming out to Whitney Houston almost turns itself into one during the routine.
