We revisited some slightly older and classic titles, because whether it’s the flashy outfits or flashy personalities, there’s nothing like playing a character that’s iconic in one way or the other.

82B (Nier: Automata)

2B’s no party princess. She’s mostly stoic and gets the job done, but she still manages to be flashy in the dystopian world ofNier: Automatawith her bold, black outfit. While her personality is cold, her fighting style is brave, and her appearance and outfit arehard not to categorize as apocalyptic eye candy.

If it wasn’t for her no-nonsense demeanor, she might have been higher up on this list, but she’s a show-stopper in her own way. When she’s not fighting robots or getting 9S out of trouble, she’s capturing our hearts.

7Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy 7 Remake)

Cloud Strife sort of parallels as a male 2B in the context of this list. He’s quite an enigmatic and serious character, but his appearance and the fact that he yields around a massive and chunky sword lay in stark contrast with his demeanor.

Nonetheless, he stands out and has stolen the spotlight with his striking design. He fared so well inFinal Fantasythat he became the poster boy for it. One of the most popular characters in the whole series, Final Fantasy 7 had to be remade, just so we could get more of it.

6Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin’s Creed Series)

Ezio might be an assassin, but for an assassin, he’s not low-key nor does he blend in with the shadows. His outfit is strong and so is his demeanor. Filled with grit, determination, and an unwavering aspect of character, he is memorable to no end.

As he graces us with a mix of Italian and English when he speaks, Ezio is a flamboyant character with a flair for the dramatic when he fights. He isn’t your typical run-of-the-mill assassin, and that’s probably why we love him so much inAssassin’s Creed.

5Dante (Devil May Cry 5)

Dante’s irresistible. He’s confident and is just an overall badass. If he’s not obliterating demons with his motorbike, or flying around on said motorbike, he’s smirking his iconic smirk and just being plain cool. His looks and his fighting style are all flashy and for a good reason.

While he’s not as colorful as some of the other entries that we’ll look into, he holds his place in this list. A fearless character who always enters the scene with a bang. Dante has our vote on this one.

4Lightning (Final Fantasy 13)

The Final Fantasy series is filled withcolorful characters in the flashiest get-ups ever. Iconic hairstyles, stylish outfits - it was inevitable that we had to include more than one character from the games in our list.

Lightning is another one of our Final Fantasy favorites. Her pink hair and amazing outfits place her high on this list. Lightning is serious by character, but she shines when you just look at her. Fit to be the protagonist on any day, she’ll steal your heart before she can slay you down.

3Kat (Gravity Rush Series)

It’s a shame that theGravity Rush series didn’t get as much attention as it deserved. It has a highly unique plot set in a steampunk/fantasy world, with equally unique game mechanics. And of course, let’s not forget our protagonist. Kat inherits powers that let her control gravity from a galactic cat. What else can we say?

Kat’s outfit is incredibly unique, her character is cheerful and sunny, and her cat is made out of stars. While she tampers with gravity and flies around, Kat is blessed with a flamboyant design and a loveable personality. We salute her for that.

2Firion (Final Fantasy 2)

Here’s another protagonist from the Final Fantasy series. Firion should have gotten more screen time during the game, as he is as flashy and flamboyant-looking as you could get. It’s hard not to be entranced by his colorful attire, his striking sword, and his hair and hair accessories.

Firion is serving us with looks, and integrity, and of course, he would place high on this list. We have yet to see another protagonist as colorful as him, and we’re waiting. Firion is known for his determination and his loyalty to his allies, which adds to his boldness. He was born to be a leader and to stand out.

1Bayonetta (Bayonetta Series)

The top spot unsurprisingly goes toBayonetta. Bayonetta is essentially the epitome of what it’s like to be flamboyant. She’s fierce, she’s confident, she’s sassy, and she fights in eight-inch heels. What else could you want from a protagonist?

She’s got the looks for it, but she also fights like it.If she’s not transforming into an animaland jumping around on tanks with her heels on, she’s empowering us with her flashy and fierce demeanor. She does it all in style with a smirk on her face and all the sassiness of the world.
