Weapons are the central aspect ofRemnant 2gameplay. They are essential tools for overcoming the hard challenges that will be thrown at you constantly. The game offers around 70 weapons throughout the world that can be either purchased, bought, crafted, or even found. These weapons fall into three main categories: Melee weapons, Handguns, and Long Guns.
Selecting the ideal weapon involves considering your chosen Archetype, your character’s build, and your preferred playstyle. However, certain weapons stand out as particularly valuable and worth considering due to their usefulness in combat situations.

Spectral Blade
TheSpectral Bladeis a super-heated laser sword. It hasa decent reachandcan deal a considerable amount of damage. Its unique attackunleashes a spinning flurry of slashes, which can be useful when handling a group of enemies or finding yourself cornered. Besides that, the weapon has a striking appearance with its captivating blue laser glow.
In order to craft this weapon, you must progress through theTravel to Alepsis storyline. After that,you need to get the three Seeker’s Keysto fight Sha’Hala Spectral Guardian of N’Erud. Once you defeat him, he’ll drop theEidolon Shard. With this material in hand, you can go back to McCabe worship to craft the Spectral Blade.
Double Barrel

To acquire the Sorrow handgun, you must first locate theTear of Kaeula Ringin Yaesha. This discovery leads toa confrontation withKaeula’s Shadow. Rune Pistol

To obtain the Sparkfire Shotgun, you’ll need touse the Lighthouse Key in the Derelict Lighthouse locationin the Awakened King DLC.
Enigma
Enigmastands as a special handgun thatshoots lightning bolts instead of bullets. These boltsleap from one enemy to the next causing the Overloaded status. It works well in close to mid-range battles and shines in closed areas. Moreover, theChaos DriverMod allows you tocraft a snare of electrified rods, linking together that deal shock damage to enemies struck with it.

Stonebreaker

In order to obtain the Stonebreaker, you need todefeat theCorruptorin Yaeshawithout killing the Guardian. This will get you theHollow Heart. Return this crafting material to McCabe and you’ll gain the ability to craft this mighty melee weapon.
Crystal Staff
TheCrystal Staffis an exceptional melee weapon that offers ranged options, essentially serving as atwo-in-one weapon. While it can be used for regular melee attacks by swinging the staff,charging it with a melee charge attack empowers the staff for ten seconds. This empowerment causeseach melee attack to launch a projectile bolt that seeks out enemies,dealing shock damageto them. This feature allows you to deal damage from a safe distance if you run out of ammo.
Moreover, using a charged melee attack while the staff is empoweredcasts a shockwave, dealing damage and shock damage to the area within the player’s vicinity.
This exclusive weapon isincluded in the Forgotten Kingdom DLCand can be found in theInfested Abyss location inside a coffin after clearing the third Root Nexus.
Cube Gun

Much like the Enigma Gun, thePlasma Cutterfires laser beams instead of bullets. With itshigh damage, large magazine size, and remarkable accuracy, this weapon earns a reputation as one of the most dependable choices for nearly any build. Itsadaptability, absence of recoil, and effective ranged damagecombine to create a lethal weapon. Additionally, itsHeat SinkModincreases gun damage while also reducing heat buildup.
You canobtain the Plasma Cutter from the Navigation Roomlocated at N’Erud, butonly after equipping theNavigator’s Helm.
Thorn
Thornis a potent Long Gun introduced with the release of the Forgotten Kingdom DLC. Its power lies in itshoming explosive needles that alleviate the need for precise aiming. Theseneedles explode after a few seconds upon impacting an enemy,and the weapon boasts ahigh fire rate.
When five needles become lodged in a target simultaneously, Blowback is triggered, dealing 50 Explosive Damage.
The weapon mod,Deadwood, enhances Thorn further byincreasing reload speed by 25 percent and boosting fire rate by an additional 15 percent. Additionally, it disables automatic Blowback. However, activating the mod again triggers an even more powerful Blowback,detonating all needles fired at once for 100 percent additional damage.
As with many weapons in the game, Thorn is crafted with the assistance of McCabe in Ward 13. However,you’ll need to obtain the Regurgitated Spiny Sac from the birdto do so.
Crescent Moon
While a one-shot bow might not immediately seem ideal for a game like Remnant 2, theCrescent Moonhas surprises in store that could change your mind.
Firstly, it boastshigh damage and accuracy, provingeffective at various ranges. When fully upgraded, itdeals 261 damage, and with the right accessories, you can evendouble this figure and enhance rapid firing. What sets this bow apart is its outstanding mod,Moonlight Barrage, likely one of the best mods available. This modboosts damage, transforms basic attacks into fully charged shots,andchanges charged attacks to fire two arrows. Moreover, it can evenrestore your healthusing Moon Essence dropped from enemies struck by the bow when the mod is active.
Acquiring this bow isn’t simple, as there’s an involved process. You mustfirst obtain theDreamcatcher, then use it onNimue while she’s asleep. This grants you a consumable that transports you to an area where you can findAnamy’s Echo. Take this crafting material to McCabe, andyou’ll be able to enjoy the finest bow the game has to offer.
Anguish
Anguishis a recent addition from the Awakened King DLC release, and it’s a potent handgun that serves multiple purposes. Primarily functioning as ashotgun, it’s ideal forclose to medium-range encountersand deals good damage. Alternatively, when youcharge the bullet, itreleases an explosive rod that damage all nearby enemies, but it comes at the cost ofa small health amount.
It’s essential to note that the longer you charge the weapon, the more health it depletes. Therefore, be sure to only charge it briefly to unleash the explosive shots.

And the best part?It doesn’t cost you any ammowhile in this mod, so you can spam it until the mod time runs out. Having three weapons in one - what could be better?
To obtain this weapon, you’ll need tocomplete the Dranception event.
Merciless
Mercilessis ahigh damageweapon that truly shines in terms ofrapid firing. It’s most effective when used inshort to medium range engagements. This Long Gun boastshigh accuracy and a decent magazine size. Its unique selling point is thebuilt-in Bleed effect,which stands out due to its potency within the game. Moreover, theBloodlineMod empowers the Merciless tounleash a devastating blast capable of penetrating all enemies in front of you. Each impaled enemy getsan extra 50 percent damagemaking it particularly valuable when you find yourself cornered or facing a group of foes.
To craft the Merciless, you need todefeat theCorrupted Ravageronly under specific requirementsto obtain the Crimson Membrane. Taking this crafting material to McCabe will allow you to forgethis weapon with its impactful Bleed effect.
Nightfall
TheNightfallis ahigh damagefirearm that trulyexcels in short to medium range battles and offers rapid firing capabilities. When fully upgraded, it becomes an unstoppable force. The true highlight of this weapon is its Mod calledDreadwalker. This mod enables you toalmost become invisible,making you harder to target while moving.
Additionally, the Nightfall gains a suite of benefits:infinite ammo, a 25 percent increase in fire rate, ten percent Lifesteal, and the weapon becomes fully automatic. With the right build and some practice, this weaponsolidifies its position as one of the most powerful guns obtainable in Remnant 2.
To acquire this intimidating-looking firearm, you mustdefeat TheNightweaverin Losomn and obtain theCursed Dream Silks. As usual, bring this crafting material back to McCabe to craft the Nightfall.
Monarch
Monarchstands out as another powerful addition fromthe Awakened Kingarsenal. This Long Gun featuresa built-in harpooncrafted for snaring foes. With its sizable magazine,it fires bullets rapidlyand excels at dealing damage fromany range.
But here’s the kicker:the Chain of Command, the weapon’s mod, transforms it into Harpoon Mode.This marks a target, turning your regular shots intohoming rounds, albeit with a 15 percent reduction in damageand built Influence. Essentially, you can shoot in any direction, andthe bullets find their way to your enemies.
In addition, the ability to toggle the mod on or off is a significant advantage and we don’t see it in a lot of weapons in Remnant 2.
When the Influence gauge is full, the Monarchautomatically reloadsandunleashes a shockwave. Additionally, your character gainsa 20 percent damage boostandinfinite reserve ammo, all lasting for 20 seconds. To acquire this weapon, you’ll need to navigate through the entire Awakened King anddefeat the One True Kingto obtain theAgony Spikerequired for crafting. Once you have it, head toMcCabeto craft the weapon.
A weapon that not only shoots for you but also boasts an infinite magazine, what more could you ask for?
