Blasphemous 2wears its Soulsborne influence proudly on its bloody, tattered sleeve. Fans of FromSoftware’s sadistic lineup will feel right at home here, cosied in amongst the intricate, shortcut-driven level design and the borderline-unfair combat scenarios. These fans will also be glad to know that Blasphemous 2 nails what is perhaps the defining trait of games in this sub-genre: incredibly punishing boss battles.

Every boss you face on your journey through Blasphemous 2’s twisted world is a major event, marrying inspired visual designs with complex movesets in a spectacular unholy union. While you won’t have an easy time tackling any of them, some will break your spirit a little more comprehensively than others.
11Faceless One, Chisel Of Oblivion
Having players tackle a boss before they’re fully accustomed to the game’s mechanics is a hallmark of Soulslike design, and Blasphemous 2 uses it to great effect with its opening affray against the Faceless One. It’s shocking to go from basic platforming to a full-on brawl, but the boss itself is surprisingly forgiving.
With only two moves to learn, most players will be able to defeat the Faceless One in just a few tries, particularly if they experiment with using the slide dodge to avoid his wheel throw attack. It’s not a very difficult battle, but it’s an excellent introduction to Blasphemous 2’s tough-but-fair philosophy.

10Great Preceptor Radames
As a card-carrying member of the ‘lumbering giant’ boss category, Radames certainly lives up to the ‘Great’ in his name when it comes to sheer size. Fortunately for you, this size also makes him a big, slow-moving target, and therefore one of the easier entries in Blasphemous 2’s boss roster.
His attacks, which consist of well-telegraphed swipes and spike-covered charges across the arena, are easy to dodge for anyone with a basic grasp of the game’s mechanics.Great Preceptor Radamesmay not be the hardest boss in the game, but he does have one of the hardest phase transitions you’ll ever see, in which he brutally devours his own sentient staff.

9Orospina, Lady Embroiderer
In a clear homage to Hollow Knight’s iconic Hornet, Orospina is a quick-fire back-and-forth duel with an opponent whose agility far outstrips your own. Her moveset includes a wide range of quick thrusts and teleports, meaning you’ll need to be on your steel-plated toes at all times here.

Thankfully, the frequency of her attacks is balanced out by their relatively low damage, which gives the fight time to blossom into an exhilarating dance even if you miss a step or two. It is worth noting that you should avoid the edge of the arena here, though, lest you get launched into the abyss with a single well-placed thrust.
8Benedicta Of The Endless Orison
Probably the most unique boss fight in Blasphemous 2, Benedicta is more of an extended platforming challenge than a traditional battle. Taking place across a pair of spectral chandeliers, you’ll spend as much time worrying about falling to your death as you will actually dodging the boss’ attacks in this one.
Benedicta uses a nice variety of magic attacks, including lightning blasts and spinning spiked pillars, to try and throw you off, which makes getting consistent damage in tricky. Once you learn her patterns and get more aggressive, however, you’ll find that this fight isn’t quite as Endless as it initially appears.

7Svsona, Formosa Fembra
Svsona is the last hurdle you need to overcome before advancing into Blasphemous 2’s endgame. She’s a fairly high one, too, capable of putting out a barrage of lightning that would put McQueen to shame, without much downtime for you to exploit in between.
The headliners here are her lightning bars, which demand mastery of theair dash abilityto dodge, and her floor-sweeping mega-laser, which can’t be dodged at all unless you make a mad dash for cover as soon as it starts. This is a fight all about speed, which makes it a serious challenge for the somewhat-clunky Penitent One to deal with.

6Afilaor, Sentinel Of The Emery
Taking the phrase ‘A flurry of blades’ to its dizzying extreme,Afilaor is a walking hurricaneof steel that can spell big problems for unprepared challengers. His attacks come thick and fast, with odd little musical flourishes that add an element of twisted whimsy to his already offbeat design.
Things aren’t too bad at first, when you’re simply dodging his standard sword swings and spin attacks. However, soon he’ll rain down blades from the background and leap back into phase two, where almost every attack comes with a complimentary AOE splash for good measure. If you’re struggling on this boss, Afilaor pain.

5Sinodo, Hymn Of The Thousand Voices
Perhaps the most complex boss in Blasphemous 2, Sinodo is effectively three bosses in one, who can collectively make use of every elemental damage type the game has to offer. Between the old man’s miasma, the nun’s fire, and the iron masks’ lightning, you’ll find little room to breathe in the midst of the onslaught you’ll face here.
The fact that you need to hit the head of each form to deal damage to Sinodo doesn’t help matters, since it will, more often than not, be surrounded by something that can hurt you if you get too close. Make sure you’ve got a good range ofelemental resistance Beadsequipped for this one.

4Incarnate Devotion
It may be the final boss of the game, but Incarnate Devotion is not the final entry on this list. Although it does demand that you get very comfortable with air dashing through lightning bars, Devotion actually has one of the smaller movesets among bosses in Blasphemous 2, making it easier to master than some of its trickier peers.

That’s not to say it’s a cakewalk, of course. You’ll still have plenty to deal with as you weave between attacks, and you’ll be confined to four tiny platforms for much of the fight as well, as Devotion sets the floor ablaze. By this stage of the game, however, your reflexes should have been honed to the point where he doesn’t pose too much of a threat.
3Lesmes And Infanta
Duo boss fights tend to be the bane of every Soulslike fan’s life, andLesmes and Infantaare no exception. You’ll meet this peculiar pair fairly early on in your quest, where your lack of access to powerful late-game skills and items makes it a true test of endurance.
You’ll fight both of the bosses individually first, giving you a chance to learn their movesets before you take them both on at once in phase three. As the only three-phase boss in the game, as well as the only duo fight, Lesmes and Infanta punch well above their position in the game when it comes to challenge.

2Odón Of The Confraternity Of Salt
A man so eager for a fight that he actually attacks you far before your proper boss fight with him, Odón is as tough and weathered as his home turf, the Sunken Cathedral, suggests. Not only is he incredibly bulky and surprisingly fast, he also has the ability to summon the powerful headless spearman enemies from the Cathedral to fight alongside him.
This creates a tight, claustrophobic fight despite the wide-open nature of the arena, particularly as you whittle down his health, and he starts extending his combos and unleashing screen-spanning waves more frequently. By the time you’ve finally brought Odón down, you’ll be eligible to join the Confraternity of Salt yourself.
