Those of us with PlayStation 5 consoles love unlocking trophies. There’s not much better than getting the Platinum trophy showcasing your dedication to a certain game. This of course meansSpider-Man 2on PS5 has a bunch of trophies for you to add to your collection.
Some of the trophies are simple. Just complete certain missions in the main story and boom, you’ve got the trophy. Others require work and require you to go out of your way to unlock them. If you’re still on the fence about whether you’ve got what it takes to be Spider-Man,read our review. Then you can decide if you’re up to the challenge of unlocking the game’s hardest trophies.

We’ve determined the difficulty of these trophies on a variety of factors: the skills and dedication you’ll need to complete them, and how hidden the game keeps them from you.
8Surge
Surge’s difficulty comes from the fact that it is a hidden trophy. This means you won’t be able to see its objective without revealing it, searching for it online, or randomly completing the task to unlock it. And the fact that you may’t do it until later on in the story makes it that much harder.
To get this trophy, you have toplay exclusively as Peter. You’ll need to use 25 Symbiote Abilites while in the Symbiote Surge state. Fill the surge bar, activate Symbiote Surge, and use the abilities on enemies. verify you have Symbiote Abilities selected instead of his Spider Arms. It’ll take you a handful of encounters, as the surge timer will run out.

7Hang Ten
Hang Ten can be a confusing trophy. If you look for it in the trophy list, it isn’t quite clear on how things need to be done. It says you must perform 30 air tricks in a row without touching the ground. A lot of players assumed that meant 30 tricks in a single combo from a high location.
That’s actually incorrect, but it will still take some time, practice, and understanding of the game’s swing mechanics. You might accidentally run along a wall or land on a rooftop and have to start over. Once you’re confident, give the trophy a try. You can swing, web wing, or pull yourself forward between each trick. You just need to do 30 before your feet land.

6Soar
Soar seems like a daunting task when you first view the trophy’s requirements. In Spider-Man 2, the map is much larger than the first game. Most of New York City is yours to explore, which is why they included web wings to glide far distances through the air and various wind tunnels.
The trophy asks you to travel from the Financial District to Astoria using only the web wings. This is essentially the bottom corner of the map diagonally to the top corner of the map. Wind tunnels are allowed, but if you aren’t familiar with their locations, you’ll be fast traveling back to your starting point over and over again.

5Funky Wireless Protocols
There are multiple side quests to keep you busy in between Spider-Man 2’s main story missions. A few of them require you to complete certain tasks and add items to your collection. One of those is the Spider-Bots. They are variant Spider-Bots from other dimensions, some that you will definitely recognize.
The Funky Wireless Protocols trophy makes youobtain all 42 of them. That’s a lot, especially when your main map does not tell you where they are. You’ll have to watch for their colorful pulsing to get a read on their location. You’ll get a fun cutscene out of it once you find them all, though.

4You Know What To Do
A sadder trophy in Spider-Man 2 is You Know What To Do. You unlock it byvisiting Aunt May’s grave, right next to the final resting place of her beloved Uncle Ben. You’ll see the cemetery if you swing by, and perhaps you’re keen enough to visit just to check it out. It isn’t the first time cemetery visits have been included in a Spider-Man game.
It doesn’t explicitly tell you to visit Peter’s deceased aunt, however. That makes for a difficult time if you aren’t aware that this trophy exists. There’s no way to know where the cemetery is right off the bat. You’ve got to do some searching. It’s near the top left of the map, and thankfully a marker will appear when you get close enough.

3Just Let Go
One of the tougher trophies to unlock in Spider-Man 2 is Just Let Go. This one stems from the Miles Morales spin off. You should do this as Miles, as it requires you tofind the cube-shaped science trophythat he and his friend Phin won.
If your memory of Spider-Man: Miles Morales isn’t fresh, you might have zero idea where to locate this trophy. In that game, it was placed at the top of Trinity Church. You can go back there in the Financial District, land on the church, and see the trophy sitting there. It’s a lovely callback, but not easy to accomplish.

2Superior
Superior is a brutal challenge for anyone wanting to complete Spider-Man 2 to the fullest. It requires you to fully complete every district in the game’s fictional version of New York City. With more districts than last time, you’ll be in for the long haul.
You have to complete all side quests for both Peter and Miles. You’ll need to find every collectible within each area. And you’ll have toget through the main story missionsthat take place there. This is something you aren’t going to be able to do until the story’s finished.

1Dedicated
Dedicated is the be-all-end-all of Spider-Man 2. This is the trophy that every hardcore player is after. It is the name of the Platinum trophy that indicates you have 100 percent completed the game. Every other trophy has been unlocked, and your reward is this one.
Its difficulty lies within the other trophies the game delivers. You have to unlock every single hard one along with all the easy ones. There are no shortcuts to earning the Dedicated trophy. Only the best Spider-Men can save New York City and Platinum the game at the same time.
