Challenges inThe Sims 4are fan-made situations and rules that you can follow. Typically, these challenges have a theme, and the Aesthetic Legacy Challenge is no exception. This challenge is all about looking as aesthetically pleasing as possible.

In this guide, we are going to take you through this challenge. In total, there are ten generations of Sims that you will need to play through to ‘complete’ the challenge; we will go over the guidelines for each generation, allowing you to easily follow along.
It’s important to note that there are several different versions of the Aesthetic Legacy Challenge; you can even make your own, with each generation representing a different aesthetic. In this guide, we are following the version created byDixiePeachSimsandstrawberrysimyt.
Challenge Overview
The Aesthetic Legacy Challengelasts for ten generations,and each one has quite a bit of guidelines that you can follow. In addition totraits, aspirations, and jobs, there are a fewmiscellaneous rules,such as mastering a certain skill or making friends with certain Sims.
As a self-imposed challenge, don’t worry if you may’t completely follow the rules. Challenges are just meant for fun, andas long as you try your hardest and enjoy what you are doing, it’s fine!

Have a 3 generation home before becoming an elder
Never get a job
The first generation we have is the Hippie. As a Hippie, your Sim grew up with strict parents, and now, they are branching out into the world.
The rules for this generation are quite simple,just relax, eat some veggies, and get to creating!

Marry someone with two similar traits
Cry it out when sad
The second generation is all aboutexpressing yourself through music.The description given for Indie Grunge states that music is the only thing that gets your Sim through life.
Like the previous generation, the rules here are pretty simple. Just be sure toclick on your Sim and choose “Cry it out” whenever they become sad.

Marry someone with two similar traits the same
At its core, Y2K is a computer error that was related to computers during the change between 1999 and 2000. Since then, it has evolved into something else entirely, withY2K being used to describe early 2000s fashion.
As such, this generation embraces this early 2000’s vibe. Live the party life, make drinks, and become a serial romantic! You can channel your inner Britney Spears, Nicole Richie, and Paris Hilton.

Have at least 3 children

The Butterfly Girl is alover of nature and family.The great-grandparent of this Sim is the Hippie, and some of this free-spirited nature was passed down.

The Kawaii Streamer generation is a bit more structured than the previous ones. Rather than finding your Career and sticking with it, your Sim will have some’character development', realizing that being a Streamer is their dream.
Although being a Tech Guru isn’t quite right for your Sim, your future lover is in this field, sobe sure to socialize with your coworkers!

Generation six is pretty muchthemain character in a cozy romantic comedy movie.As a clumsy, pet-loving romantic, your Sim dreams about finding the one for them.
Take your pet to a nearby park, read a book, andwait for your potential lover to show up.Who knows, maybe they have a few pets of their own too.

Name children after famous artists
As an eccentric artist, generation seven is all about creativity. Like this Sim’s parent, they love toexpress themselves through creative means.

Need some baby names? Try Raphael, Frida, Yayoi, or Claude. If you are feeling extra confident, you may even name your child Michelangelo.

Next, we have the Vintage generation. This is thestart of the rich and spoiled section of the family tree, as the effects of spoiling the children and grandchildren help shape their future personalities.
In addition to spoiling your Sim’s family, they will own and operate a quaint diner, worthy of the Vintage generation title.

Have your parent (Vintage) raise your children
Have a High Maintenance BFF
The effects of generation eight spoiling their children can be seen here in full force. Your Divacore Sim ismean, hard to manage, and famous on social media.
Overall, act like a Diva, be mean, and flaunt your wealth! Just be sure that your equally as high-maintenance BFF doesn’t steal the spotlight.

Go skiing a lot with family
Move the house of Generation One (Hippie) anywhere else and renovate it to finish aspiration
Lastly, we have the Old Money generation. This final generation has experienced a lavish life, raised by their grandparent (Vintage). With tons of family money,they are all about skiing and making even more cash.
This is the final generation in the Aesthetic Legacy Challenge. From here, you cancontinue playing with this family with no guidelines, or switch to a new family.If you feel inclined to, you can create new Aesthetic Legacy Challenge rules and continue on.
