If you’re a fan of apocalyptic stories and Gacha,Reverse: 1999is the perfect game for you. It has a unique story where a storm occurred on the last day of the year 1999, and time has been going backward ever since. You get to play as Vertin, and she’s trying her best to make everything normal.

If this is your first Gacha game, it can be quite overwhelming since you unlock a ton of new mechanics as you progress the story. However, these tips can help you get a grip on your account and learn what you need to do if you want to beat the difficult content.

Use Your Clear Drop Carefully

Clear Drop is likely the most valuable and the rarest resource in Reverse: 1999. It’s the currency that, alongside Unilog, can be used on the various banners to summon characters. The game has adedicated Gacha system where you have a 1.5 percent chance of getting a six-star, 8.5 percent for getting a five-star, and so on.

There’s also a pity system where you’re guaranteed to get a certain rarity of characters after a certain number of pulls. However,it’s recommended to make good use of your Clear Drop. Apart from the beginner banner that everyone should pull on at the start, you’ll see two other kinds of banners in the game:

Reverse 1999 Chapter One Acts Two Three And Four-1

Description

Limited Banner

This banner only stays for aspecific amount of time and usually contains limited characters. However, the two limited banners at the launch belonged to A Knight and Sotheby, who are both in the Standard banner as well.

Standard Banner

This banner stays in the game forever but, unlike many other games, it shares the same type of currency for summoning as the limited banners. Thismakes it quite a bad choice to pull on the Standard Banner.

The pity is shared between different limited banners, butthe Standard Banner has its own pity.

Reverse 1999 The Poussiere And Mintage Aesthetics Resource Stages

After pulling on the beginner banner, it’s highly recommended tosave most of your Clear Drops for a character you’d like to haveon your account. You can also use Clear Drop to regenerate your Cellular Activity and get more resources, but this is only a choice for people who’d be willing to spend a lot of money in the game.

If you’re an F2P or low-spending player, it’s recommended tonot use Clear Drop for Activity refresh since it automatically refresheswith time.

The Story Is Important

As soon as you start playing the main story of Reverse: 1999, you’ll notice a Skip button on the top-right side of your screen. As enticing as it might be to just press the button and rush the story,it’s highly recommended to take your time and enjoy it. This is because the main story is the bread and butter of the game.

Firstly, if you skip all of the story, you’ll run out of content much faster than you can imagine. And secondly, there will be times when you’ll start burning out of the game much faster since you didn’t connect with it. However, you can always go to the archives section andread through the story again at any point.

Spend Your Activity

This game features a stamina system where almost everything you do takes a bit of your Cellular Activity. The main source of using your Activity at the start of the game will be the main story. However, you’ll unlock a bunch of resource sectionsas you get past certain chapters and acts in the story.

The Activity you need for a single run on these resource sectionswill increase as you unlock the higher-level ones. It’s important to make sure that your Activity never caps once you get the resources unlocked. If it caps, you’ll essentially be wasting a lot of time when your Activity could still be regenerating.

Reverse 1999 Enemy And Recommended Afflatus In Precombat Screen

You also get a bunch of limited-time Activity refills fromdaily logins and by progressing the game.

The limited-time Activity refills usually last for over ten days, so it’s recommended tosave them until the last day and unlock the highest level of the resources that you can. Once you’re on the last day, you can spend them before they expire to get the most value.

It’s also important to note that some resource sections like thePneuma Analysis allow you to have two free runs every day. Once you unlock this resource, it’s highly important to do these two runs every day since they don’t consume any Activity and don’t stack up.

Card Order Matters In Battle

Reverse: 1999 gives you an extensive tutorial on how the turn-based combat works in the game. However, youmight not feel like paying attention to this at the start since the battles are quite easyand you may win them simply by pressing random buttons. This can be quite a detriment since you have to learn these mechanics when the battles get harder.

Thankfully, the game has an entire tutorial section where you have to beat multiple stages to get extra Clear Drops, and these stages are actually difficult. The most important thingabout the turn-based system unique to this game is the usage of cards. At the start of your turn, you’ll get cards randomly assigned on the bottom-right of your screen.

The amount of cards you can have at the start of each turn isbased on the number of active characters in the battle.

In the middle of your screen, you’ll see the amount of actions you may take. Both moving a card and using it counts as an action, andeven the usage of your Ultimate is an action. It’s important to pay attention to the order in which you’re using the cards, for example:

These are just a few instances, but the order of your cards matters in almost every round.

Don’t Ignore Wilderness

Wilderness is the housing system in Reverse: 1999 that unlocks after progressing the story quite a bit. You canplace various islands and buildings in this area to increase your Vigor. From the start, you’ll have towers for creating both Dust and Sharpodonty, which can be leveled up and increased in number with your Paleohall level.

The amount of Dust or Sharpodonty you gain isdirectly affected by the Vigor of your Wilderness. This amount might not seem like a lot but it can be a great source of regular income if you spend time to actually upgrade your Wilderness. You can also gain a ton of Character Bond by putting them here.

Pay Attention To Enemy Afflatus

When you get a new character in Reverse: 1999, you’ll notice that they belong to one of the following Afflatus:

Afflatus are essentially the elements of this game, andeach one of them is weaker and stronger against a specific Afflatus. While in battle, you can deal 30 percent more DMG to an Afflatus that’s weak against your character’s Afflatus. However, you’ll also take 30 percent more DMG from enemy Afflatus that are stronger against your character’s.

Before you start a battle, you’ll be able to see the Afflatus belonging to all the enemy mobs and bosses. If you’re facing an enemy boss, there will also be a crown above the Afflatus symbol. In this case, it’s important to have the characters with an Afflatus stronger against the boss' if you want to win.
