With over a thousand moons and planets to explore inStarfield, it’s easy to get lost among the stars. Each moon and planet has a different variety of biomes, creatures, and resources for you to explore, providing hours of gameplay and adventure. These resources can be harvested and used in crafting, or you can complete quests when you run into NPCs.
One of these planets is Skink, which can be hard to find on the map if you’re not sure where to look. With many overlapping star systems and pathways, it may take a helping hand to find the one you’re looking for.
What Is Skink?
Skinkis aplanet with an extreme environmentin Starfield. It’s arock-type planetwith an inferno rating. Skink is made up ofhills, rocky deserts, plateaus, and volcanic biomes.
When you land on the surface, you’ll be faced with extreme solar radiation and extreme ambient heat, specifically in the volcanic biomes. verify to come prepared.
As you explore the area, keep an eye out forextremely hot gas ventsthat can cause damage. The followingresources are availableon Skink:
There areno organic resourceson Skink, but you’ll find plenty of inorganic ones. That means, unlike most planets, youwon’t find any unique flora or faunaon the surface.
You cannot build an outpost without unlocking the skill that allows you to build in extreme environments.
Despite theharsh environment and the lack of organic life, you can stillexplore and find new locationson Skink. It may not be as colorful as other planets, or as lively, but it has aunique and dangerous charmto it.
How To Find Skink
It can be hard to finda single planet in the entire Milkyway Galaxy, but luckily for you, we’ve mapped it out.
Open your map andhead tothe Cheyenne System, just to theright ofAlpha Centauri. When you jump there, you’ll findSkink on the left, closest to the sun.
There are several notable planets in the Cheyenne System, but Skink takes the most heat due to its location.
Once you arrive, you canscan the planetyourself to see which resources are located where. You canland anywhere on the surfaceof the planet to begin exploring.
After you unlock the right skills, you canset up an outpostand make yourself at home, taking full advantage of the planet and its resources.
