The game’s 4.0 expansion brought with it a handful of secrets to discover in the nation of Fontaine, home to a mysterious prophecy; a legend about how the nation is slowly being swallowed up by the sea.

There are some powerful creatures that dwell across the land of the Hydro archon that are precisely the stuff of whimsical tales. Vivianne of the Lake and Ninianne of the Lake are two of these local legends, and they’re hiding in plain sight in the Fontaine map.

Where To Find Vivianne Of The Lake

Vivianne of the Lake, the Rift-Subduing Lake Spirit, is anelite enemy and mini-bossyou will find in the Fontaine map. Though she looks no different fromone of the forms Tained Hydro Phantasms take, her fight is actually quite the challenge.

Vivianne is known to be extra tough, as she is pretty mucha big DMG sponge that also has powerful attacksof her own, even if her list of moves isfairly limited.Finding heris rather simple, as she isreally close to a Teleport Waypoint.

All you need to do is lookNorth on your map,past The Court of Fontaine, to the area above. There is aTeleport Waypoint near the shore, and on the other end,the end of the Aquabus Rail.

Vivianne isright by a mountain in-between these two references, floating in a strangeRift symbol formation.

She willstartle and attack as soon as you approach her, and she has the capacity tofollow you up and down the slopeto a certain distance, not to mention, she hasstrong ranged attacks, so be careful when approaching.

Where To Find Ninianne Of The Lake

Ninianne of the Lake, the Rift-Subduing Lake Spirit, is Vivianne’s match and anotherelite enemy and mini-bossthat was added to the game in the 4.0 patch. She takes adifferent shape, but still looksexactly like a regular Tainted Hydro Phantasmin one of its forms.

Like Vivianne, she istough and can absorb a lot of DMGwhile alternating between attacks toquickly lower your HP.

As for her location, shecan be found in the Beryl region, near the remains of Elynas. Though she is pretty muchin plain sight, she is a littleharder to accesssince you will have to eithercross Elyna’s remainsor take a moderatelylong walk along the shore.

You may begin byfast-traveling to the Waypoint that is farthest up Northin Elynas, from which you might eitherhead Westandthen Northalong the shore, ordirectly North through the mountainous sectionand past the ribs of the former titan.

You willfind Ninianne floatingin one of thestrange Rift symbol formationsin a small islandby Elynas' spine.

When you approach her you will notice thatshe is constantly moving in a small circle around the formation.
