As you explore the world ofPaleo Pines, you’ll sometimes come across creations of human origin such as bridges, windmills, and even an ancient pot that no one’s quite sure how it got there, or why it’s so large. Some are easy to find and others taken time and effort to properly restore them before they can be researched again.

Whether you’re wanting to complete all your journal entries or you just want to find out more about the game’s lore, we’ll help you do it. Discover where to find the historic structures, how to enlist dinos for access, and how to unlock their lore with our guide.

Where Are All The Historic Places?

This table below will provide you with thenames and locationsof every History Place andkey informationsuch as:

Veridian Valley

In thenortheasternsection of the valley,east of Owynn’s house. .

From your farm,head straight northto Owynn’s house, thenhead east along the path. There will be a set ofbreakable logsleading up to a hill, and the Windmill sits on top of it.

You’ll need torestore the Veridian Windmillbefore you can write its entry in your journal, which includescompleting Marlo’s questfor it. Marlo’s quest is activated once you interact with the windmillfor the first time, and it involves youmeeting him at the windmillin theeveningto see what can be done. The Windmill needs50 Stone, 50 Wood, and 20 Fiberto be restored.

In thenortheast cornerof Veridian,near the large stone bridgeon the map.

From your farm,head all the way northand theneast to Owynn’s house. Follow thecurving dirt pathall the way until you reach alarge clearing with debris, a lake, and multiple Corythosaurus.

Like the Windmills, you’ll have torestore Veridian Gardensbefore you can make a journal entry, and it requires a variety of materials,mostly flower and rock biome furniture.Forallfive separate restoration spots, you’ll need:

Most can bepurchased at Corlan’s shop, but unlocking Ariacotta Canyon andvisiting ()’s shop in Archeo Pelagocan speed up finding the furniture.

Stomper and Smasher

Dapplewood Forest

In thesouthwestern endof Dapplewood, andup a hillthat overlooks two Stegosaurus.

From the entrance to Dapplewood, you can reach it two different ways:

Treeceratops

In thenorth endof Dapplewood,near both a clearing and a hillwith Deinonychus and Oviraptor.

From the entrance,head all the way northup the main path and almost to theedge of the map. It sits in between a clearing and a hill,near a large Dreamstone cluster.

Pebble Library

Pebble Plaza

InsidePebble Plaza, on the western side of the townnear Marlo’s stall.

To beable to restore Pebble Library, you’ll have toprogress through Granny Agami’s quests, including helping her with the injured Compsognathus at her home. She will eventually ask if you canhelp restore the library.

Smasher, Stomper, and Slasher

In thesoutheastern cornerof Veridian,east of your farm.

to get ajournal entryfor Ariacotta Archway, you’llneed to restore the entrance to Ariacotta Canyon, which requires a variety of materials.After the cutscene, you can then inspect it for the entry.

Ariacotta Canyon

Innorthern Ariacotta, slightlysouth of Archeo Pelagoon a tall hill.

From the entrance to Ariacotta,head northeither around or through the Sandstone, andinto Archeo Pelago. Head downaround the circular patharound the oasis to the western side, then onto along, railed slope. At the top of it sits Ariacotta Windmill.

Like the other two Windmills, you’ll need to restore itbefore you’re able to do a journal entry on it. It also takes50 Wood,50 Stone, and20 Fiberto restore.

In thewesternmostregion of Ariacotta, in themiddle of Ariacotta Dunes.

From the entrance, headall the way to the westalong the path, and into the dunes. Theclosest entrance is blockedby breakable Sandstone, butsecond unblocked entrancesits to the north if youfollow the pathexactly. The pot sits in themiddle of the dunes, where three Dilophosaurus spawn.

Smasher (Optional)

How To Unlock Lore Entries On Historical Places

Once you’veunlocked Ariacotta Canyonand have gone to the town ofArcheo Pelago, you’ll be able tovisit Zaraat her home. Speaking with her andcompleting her introductory questwill unlock being able toshare discoverieswith her.

Each time youshare a discovery with heron a Historic Place, she’lladd a lore entry into your journalfor the place, and occasionally tell it to you as well.
