You can find relics in many games. In the likes of Tomb Raider, they’re treasures Lara Croft is looking for. Alternatively, they can be types of weapons, which is the case in The Witcher 3. However, inRemnant 2, they are something else entirely, and they’re very useful on your adventure.

Yet, like with most things in the RPG, they can be improved. The process is different fromupgrading your weapons, as Rigs doesn’t have the ability to do anything with these mystical items. Thankfully, there is a certain other character in Ward 13 that is an expert in strange things. So, here is everything you need to know to upgrade your relics.
What Are Relics?
Relics are importantconsumable itemsthat you carry around.
They provide you withdifferent bonuses when you use them. For instance, the original Dragon Heart recovers a significant chunk of your health.
While playing through the game,you will acquire more that help you in different ways.
How To Upgrade Relics
There isn’t a litany of upgrades available for relics. However, you canboost the number of charges a relic has. You do this byvisiting Wallace.
He is always inWard 13,living in a house that has been lifted by a crane.
Speak with him andenquire about crafting. This takes you to thecrafting menu,where you canbuy the additional charges upgrade- you may do this more than once.
This extra chargeisn’t just for the relic you have equippedwhile crafting the upgrade. If you switch it out for another one, that relic will also have the additional charge.
What You Need To Upgrade Relics
To upgrade your relics, youneed scrap, lumenite crystals, and simulacrum. The first two of those things are pretty easy to get - yet you may need tofarm lumenite crystalsto get your stock up.
Simulacrums are a lot rarer.
You canbuy one from Cassafter she sets up her shop in Ward 13. Beyond that, though, thelocations of simulacrums are somewhat random. You can find some in Yaesha, N’Erud, and Losomn, but theirexact locations are different for each person.

What Are Relic Fragments?
Another way you can boost relics is byequipping them with relic fragments.These things give you various bonuses, from increased fire rate to damage reduction.
Youpick up plenty of them naturallywhile playing through the game.
To equip them, go into the character menu andhover over your relic before hitting ‘inspect.‘From there, you can equip and unequip different fragments.
