Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s first DLC chapter is called The Teal Mask, and it brings you to the new region of Kitakami, a vast area full of woods, orchards, and mountains to explore. While there are plenty of new Pokemon to catch in this place, one of its most mysterious residents comes from past times.

Initially released in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Ursaluna is an evolved form from Ursaring that used to roam around the lands of Hisui hundreds of years ago. However, this particular version of Ursaluna has survived somehow, displaying more aggressive behavior and new moon-based powers.
Perrin’s Photo Survey
From the moment you land on Kitakami, a blue-haired NPC will be furiously taking photos in Mossui Town. She will introduce herself as Perrin, a photographer from the Sinnoh region who traveled all the way to Kitakami to find out more about a legend from her land.
She will ask you to firstcapture 150 Pokemon from the Kitakami pokedexbefore letting you do anything else. While this can seem like a difficult endeavor, if you have completed the Paldea pokedexyou should have half of the Kitakami pokedex completed, so it shouldn’t take you too long.
Once you’re done catching all the necessary Pokemon,she will challenge you to a battle. After proving your worth, she’ll ask you for help to photograph the Pokemon dubbed as The Bloodmoon Beast,a surviving Ursaluna who’s rumored to live in the Timeless Woods.
How To Play Perrin’s Photo Survey
After setting camp in the Timeless Woods, a cutscene will play anda quick unavoidable fight against a wild Ariados will occur.Defeat that Pokemon and Perrin’s Photo Survey will begin.
In this mini-game,you must walk around and take pictures of different Pokemonin various places and situations,until you capture ten different Pokemon species.
It is highly recommended tolook up to trees, enter caves, and observe bodies of waterto quickly find new Pokemon.
Fighting Bloodmoon Ursaluna
Once you finish the mini-game, another cutscene will play andthe Bloodmoon Beast will make its appearance, which will trigger a battle. Keep in mind that this battle will play like a titan confrontation,so you must completely defeat Bloodmoon Ursalunabefore you’re able to catch it, and once you do, youwill have a guaranteed capture opportunity.

Mind’s Eye:This Pokemon ignores changes to opponents' Evasiveness, its accuracy cannot be lowered, and it can hit Ghost-type Pokemon with Normal and Fighting-type attack moves.
Go back to Mossui Town and talk to Perrin, where a cutscene will play and the quest will end.
As an extra reward,she will also give you a Hisuian Growlithefor you to raise.
