Like all other soulslike games, Lies Of P offers a wealth of exploration, including weapons, equipment, and NPC quests. These NPCs often provide subtle hints about their needs and leave you to decipher them independently. One early notable NPC is the Weeping Woman who presents you with an odd request that will surely pique your interest.
Where To Find The Weeping Woman
You can encounterthe Weeping Woman early in the game at Elysion Boulevard.
Once you’ve reached theInside the House on Elysion Boulevard Stargazer, head out through the front door, andfollow the way to the right.
Be careful of puppet enemies along the way, and you can decide whether todestroy or bypass them.
When you reach the rooftop, you’ll spota passage on the left side that leads to another building.
Make your way there and enterthe door on the left.
Continue along this path, and you’ll come acrossa ladderthat you can descend. Drop all the way down, andon your right, you’ll notice another ladder. Climb it.
Here, you’ll catch a glimpse ofa woman’s silhouette through a window. If you approach, you’ll be able to interact with her;this is the Weeping Woman.
Upon interacting with her, she’ll request a favor;to find her baby.
Her only hint is that it’s located inKrat City Hall.
You’ll be given a choice between “I’ll find her” or “Refuse.” Naturally, we want to help, somake sure to choose the first option.
How To Find The Weeping Woman’s Baby
After you’ve accepted the Weeping Woman’s request,your task is to find the Broken Baby Puppet, and fortunately, it’s not too far from your current location.
Begin by descending the ladder andexiting through the gate in front of you. Here, you’ll encounterthe Krat Police Puppet.
Your best approach here may be to simply run past it, but you’d want to come back and defeat him later to get his weapon.
Afterward,continue along the path to the right until you reach a bridgefeaturing a peculiar-looking, aggressive donkey.
Before you can progress; you’ll need to defeat thisMad Donkey mini-bossto progress. This encounter is a crucial part of the storyline, and we won’t reveal too much about it.
A straightforward method to defeat it is bysneaking up from behind for a backstab; you might be surprised at how easily you can overcome it. Not only that, but it’s the perfect chance to practice backstabbing enemies as you’d find it very useful.
Once you’ve defeated the Mad Donkey,you can unlock the door at the end of the bridgeand move forward.
You’ll come across a Stargazer, which you should repair to replenish your supplies.
After using the Stargazer,take the stairs down and follow the path. Here, you’ll encounter numerous enemies, so keep that in mind.
On the left side, you’ll find another set of stairs to climb, leading to more enemies and to the main progression path.
Here, if you take the left path,you’re able to unlock a shortcut to the Stargazer.
As you continue, you’ll come across another set of stairs ahead. Ascend them, andon the right side,you’ll spot an enemy pounding the ground near a blue light item - that’s the Broken Baby Puppet.
You have two options: defeat the enemy and grab the item or quickly grab the item and run for yourself.
It becomes evident that the “baby” the Weeping Woman asked foris actually a puppet. Regardless, it’s time to return to her.
Should You Lie Or Tell The Truth To The Weeping Woman
Now that you have the item needed,return to the Weeping Woman and interact with her to give her the “baby.“She’ll be overjoyed to be reunited with her “baby” and may ask if she is adorable. At this point,you’ll be presented with two choices.
That’s A Puppet
The first choice is “That’s a Puppet” which meansyou will tell the truth to her.
While it might be a bit harsh to ruin this lady’s happiness given that her name is literally the Weeping Woman, if you chose to do so, she’d respectfully accuse you of lying, and despite that,she’ll reward you with the Vivid Ergo Fragment.
She’s A Cute Baby
Choosing the option “She’s a cute baby” is the natural choice in line with the game’s theme. When you do this,you will lie to herbut it will fill the woman’s heart with joy.
She will express her gratitude for fulfilling her only wish and reward you with boththe Vivid Ergo Fragmentandthe Feel Record.
Records can be played at Hotel Krat and will contribute to P’s humanity.
