You’re going to want as many Badges as you can find inSuper Mario Bros. Wonder, as every last one of them is helpful to some degree. Sure, some are more useful than others, and everybody’s going to have their favorites. But they’re all worth checking out to see what suits your style, or what best befits a given course.
Not only is it possible to beat the game without gathering every Badge; it’s downright impossible to do otherwise. That’s how hard a few of these are to find, so let’s get started.

Every Badge Location In Super Mario Bros. Wonder
No great preamble needed for this; you’re here for Badges, and we’re here to tell you where they are. In the words of a famous plumber, ‘here we go!’
Add “!” Blocks
Petal Isles Poplin Shop.
Adds additional blocks to most courses when equipped. Can be quite handy in trickier stages where falling off is a real threat.
All Bubble Power
Purchasable from Poplin Shops upon completing the main game.
Every Power-Up you’ll encounter in a course becomes the Bubble Power-Up.
All Drill Power
Every Power-Up you’ll encounter in a course becomes the Drill Power-Up.
All Elephant Power
Every Power-Up you’ll encounter in a course becomes the Elephant Power-Up.
All Fire Power
Auto Super Mushroom
Challenge Wiggler to a race in Pipe-Rock Plateau and win.
You’ll start every course with a Super Mushroom activated. Basically, this means you never start out in Small form.
Boosting Spin Jump
Complete the requisite Badge Challenge in Petal Isles.
Pressing ‘R’ (or shaking the controller, if it features motion sensor tech) gives you an additional, well, upward boost after jumping.
Coin Magnet
Deep Magma Bog Poplin Shop.
When this is equipped, nearby coins are pulled toward you magnetically.
Coin Reward
Pipe-Rock Plateau Poplin Shop.
Defeating enemies will earn you coins. In our opinion, not especially useful.
Dolphin Kick
Pressing ‘R’ (or shaking the controller, if it features motion sensor tech) pushes you forward fairly rapidly while underwater.
Fast Dash
Sunbaked Desert Poplin Shop.
Simply put, you’re faster. Your walking speed increases, and your running speed is excellent.
Floating High Jump
Complete the requisite Badge Challenge in Fluff-Puff Peaks.
Your normal jumping height increases, and you may also float briefly in midair.
Grappling Vine
Complete the requisite Badge Challenge in Fungi Mines.
You have your own personal shootable vine that’ll pull you wherever you fire it. Pretty cool.
Invisibility
Complete the requisite Expert Badge Challenge in Sunbaked Desert.
You become invisible to your enemies. On the other hand, you’re also invisible to yourself. Weird, fun, and hard to master.
Parachute Cap
Enter the Badge Poplin House in Pipe-Rock Plateau.
Pressing ‘R’ (or shaking the controller, if it features motion sensor tech) dons a parachute that will slow your descent.
Rhythm Jump
Complete the requisite Badge Challenge in Sunbaked Desert.
Matching your jumps to the beat of a course’s music spawns coins galore. Rad!
Safety Bounce
Fluff-Puff Peaks Poplin Shop.
Pits, lava, spikes, and other auto-kill spots will let you bounce off of them one time (!) before you’re dead.
Sensor
Fungi Mines Poplin Shop.
A sound is emitted whenever you’re fairly close to either a Wonder Flower or a Ten-Flower Coin. Helpful when 100 percenting.
Spring Feet
Complete the requisite Expert Badge Challenge in Fluff-Puff Peaks.
You hop nonstop, and your jumps are much higher than usual.
Sound Off?
Finish every course in the Special World.
The game’s sound effects are (mostly) replaced with character noises. It’s… a lot.
Timed High Jump
If you time your jumps just right, you’ll go higher up in the air. Tricky to, at least for us, but once you get it down it’s great.
Wall-Climb Jump
Complete the requisite Badge Challenge in Pipe-Rock Plateau.
Jumping against a wall and then pressing the jump button again slides you upward against the wall once. Surprisingly useful at times.
