Though there are ten total skills you’ll be building inFae Farm, one of the earliest ones you’ll begin level is the Logging skill. As you may expect, anything to do with cutting down trees or chopping fallen pieces of lumber build the Logging skill, rewarding you with six different types of wood by the end of the game.

The Logging Skill, Explained

In Fae Farm, you’ll immediately notice severaldifferent types of treeslittered about on your Homestead when the Mayor first brings you over there.

While this is your introduction to Logging in Fae Farm, there aresix total types of woodavailable throughout the game. They can be found in theRaw Materialstab of the Almanac, under theWood category.

Each type of wood in this Almanac entry will havethree variationsincluded:Logsyou receive for cutting down the tree,Lumberthat you’ve processed using aLumber Stationto process raw Logs into usable wood, andSaplingsfor replanting.

When youfirst startplaying Fae Farm, you’re only able to chopBeech Treesearly on, warned that your axe isn’t strong enough for the Oak Trees that are also on your property.

To begin chopping down tougher Logs in Fae Farm, you’ll need toconsistently upgrade your axeto take on the jobs.Every new type of wood you find will require a stronger axe.

Use The Lumber Station To Process Wood

As we alluded to above, theLumber Stationis your crafting station forprocessing your Logs into Lumber.

This station can process every kind of wood, and it producesone piece of Lumber per ten Logsof the same kind of wood.

Lumber isused for intricate furniture items, as well as several of yourhouse upgrades, so be sure to check what you may process every now and again to stay on top of the processing time.
