AcrossDisney Dreamlight Valley, the resources are plentiful. One of the most bountiful resources to collect is wood, and there are several different types in the eight biomes to collect. Some are more common than others, but they all have their uses in quests and crafting.

From crafting furniture to helping villagers accomplish their goals, there’s always a reason to have a pile of wood stored somewhere. There are a lot of materials to hold, and so many fun items to craft, so you’ll need a steady supply of wood in many varieties to rebuild the valley to your liking.
Where To Find Softwood
Softwood can be found from the moment you enter the valley. You’ll find itnear the base of treeswaiting to be picked up. It’splentiful in four biomesacross the village:
If you’re having trouble finding any wood,try checking Kristoff’s Stall. He often sells crafting materials like wood and ingots that you’ll need plenty of.

you may also find Softwood byremoving both Small and Big Tree Stumpswith the Royal Shovel across the valley. Its most useful purpose is for crafting small chests for storage and organization, though you can make several furnishings as well.
Where To Find Hardwood
Hardwood can be used for crafting sturdier items, likeMedium Chests and Crafting Stations.Similar to Softwood, Hardwood can befound in four biomesthroughout the valley:
you’re able to also find Hardwood byremoving Big Tree Stumpsyou come across. At first, it can be harder to come by, but once youunlock more biomes, you’ll have more access to the foraged material.

Where To Find Dry Wood
Dry Wood is easily recognizable by its white color as opposed to the various shades of brown. It’sharder to findthan the previous types because it’sonly available in three biomes:
These dried-out sticks can be used to craft numerous things, such as theElegant Gazebo, Wooden Lampposts, and Cutouts.

Where To Find Dark Wood
Dark Wood isthe rarest type of woodto find in Dreamlight Valley. This is because it canonly be found in the Forgotten Lands, and nowhere else. This crafting material is difficult to find and build an inventory of, but it’s well worth the effort. This wood is most useful forcrafting Large Cheststo store items in.
While Kristoff’s Stall often sells crafting materials, including other types of wood,you won’t find Dark Woodamong his inventory.
