Scarletite is crafting material inFinal Fantasy 16that you’re able to use to make the Drakeslayer’s Bracelets, Drakeslayer’s Belt, and Excalibur. These are all powerful pieces of gear to have that offer high defense and a larger health bar. The problem is that crafting each one will require you to have some Scarletite.

There are only a few ways that you may get your hands on it in the game. Like with many of the other crafting resources in the game, Scarletite mostly drops from notorious hunts. You can also get it by completing the side quest: Hot Water. Continue reading to learn more.
Dozmare, The Griffin
First up on the Scarletite hunt list isDozmare, the Griffin, and it’s a rank B Notorious Hunt that appears on the boardafter taking the Blacksmith Blues side questfrom an NPC named August at the Hideaway.This quest will become available after the Here Be Monsters main quest.
Defeating Dozmare isn’t too difficult as his tells are pretty obvious.
Fastitocalon
Fastitocalon is also a rank Bnotorious hunt,and it’s a large tortoise that has the appearance of a giant rock sitting in theVelkroy Desert in the Dhalmekain Republic. To find it,fast travel to the Velkrory Desert obelisk.
From there, goeast until you get to the dip on the map, and then go northeast until you get to the short cutscene with the tortoise.
The Ten Of Clubs
To get to this B rank hunt, head to theFields of Corava in the Dhalmekain Republic. If you keep going southeast,you’ll come across a gated-off village off to the side of your map,where your mark is waiting.
The Ten of Clubshas a lot of heavy-hitting attacks. However, like most of the other axe-wielding baddies in the game, its swings are slow,so you’ll have more than enough time to dodge or parry them.
The Holy Trumpitour
The last hunt that will give you Scarletite isThe Holy Trumpitour, also known as The Man in Black. Like the others, this is a rank B hunt.
You’ll be able to take it on after completingthe side quests For Great Justice and For Great Justice Part 2. To get to this notorious mark, fast travel to Lostwing, andfrom there, proceed to the cellar passageand continue going downuntil you get to a small circular section on the map.
Hot Water Side Quest
You only needthree pieces of Scarletite for crafting, so if one of the notorious hunts gives you trouble, you’re able to abandon it in favor of completing this quick side quest.
It will become available to youonce you start the Riddle of the Sands main quest.You’ll spot the bathhouse owner Xaver in distressbecause, apparently, the water is way too hot and is driving off his patrons.
After taking the quest, head out of Dalimil andfollow your quest marker to the Doeznov Terraces. Here, you’ll find the Bomb enemies that are the cause of the hot water.
Quickly take them out the same way you have every other bomb enemy in the game so far, andgo back to Xaver to turn the quest in.He’ll reward you with aBreath of the Inferno accessory and the Scarletite.
