You may notice that only one familiar face is here instead of two. Woody is nowhere to be found and Buzz Lightyear is all out of sorts. You’ll have to get him back to normal before finding the cowboy, and there are several things that need to be done to help. Thankfully, everything you need is in Bonnie’s room.
How To Unlock The Toy Story Realm
When youenter Dream Castle, head up the stairs to the second set of doors. Find thedoor with the alien faceon the front. When you select the door, Merlin will appear to collect7,000 Dreamlight to unlock the doorfor you.
Head on inside and watch yourself shrink down to toy size.
Once in the room, you’ll notice that the realm is a bit of a mess. There are toys everywhere, and a familiar face waiting for you on a table nearby. Hurry tospeak with Buzz Lightyear.
Where To Find The AA Batteries
Before you can even find out what Buzz needs help with, you’ll have to finda new pair of AA batteriesfor him. His current set is depleted, causing him (and the music, if you listen closely) to malfunction.
There should be two batteriesaround the roomfor you to collect and bring back.
Battery One Location
The first battery is byBonnie’s end table. From where you enter the room,turn left and head backpast the closet. You’ll find itin front of one of her drawings, lying on the floor by star stickers.
Battery Two Location
The second battery islocated by the toy stovenear the center of the room. You’ll find it nestledbetween a yellow book and green boxpiled with books. Pick up the battery andhead back to Buzzto finish this task.
Where To Find The Race Car Track Pieces
Once his batteries are refreshed, Buzz lets you know thatthe mission is to save Woody. The cowboy was accidentally thrown out the window and locked out.
The latch is too high up for a toy to reach, so Buzz has designed a track that shouldlaunch a car into the windowto open it and rescue Woody.
You’ll need to locateten Race Car Track Piecesto complete the design. They’rescattered about the room, and while many are easy to spot, some are well hidden.
There aresix long pieces and four small ones. Here areall ten locationsfor the Rac Car Track Pieces.
Race Car Track Piece One Location
The first piece islocated by the stove, where you picked up the second battery. It’s right next to the green box, ready for you to collect.
Race Car Track Piece Two Location
The second piece isnear the wall towards the back of the room. From where you enter the realm,head straight back to the wall and turn rightat the slide. You’ll see the piece lying on the floor.
Race Car Track Piece Three Location
The third piece is locatedunder the tableBuzz Lightyear can be found on. You’ll spot itby one of the table legs near the bookshelf, in front of the discarded teddy bear on the floor.
Race Car Track Piece Four Location
The fourth piece can be found directly behind the third.Head around the table, to the back of the fallen teddy bear, to find a long Race Car Track Piece. Pick it up (and open the chest while you’re there).
Race Car Track Piece Five Location
The fifth piece can be foundall the way in the back of the room, past the bookshelf, and in front of the pile of play mat pieces. It’s a small piece that can be easy to miss, but you’ll spot itto the left of the red bookwith an Easter egg on the cover.
Race Car Track Piece Six Location
The sixth piece is locatednear the entrance to the realm. From where you enter, it should beright in frontof you, by Bonnie’s drawers.
Race Car Track Piece Seven Location
The seventh piece isby the foot of Bonnie’s bed, behind the green box on the left of it.From where you enter the realm, turn leftand look closely. It’s another small piece that can be easy to pass over.
Race Car Track Piece Eight Location
The eighth piece is locatedin front of the end table by Bonnie’s bed. You can pop over to grab it since it’s not far from the last piece.
Race Car Track Piece Nine Location
The ninth piece ishidden in the closet. Head into it and turn left. It will benear the cornerof the closet waiting for you.
Race Car Track Piece Ten Location
The last piece is tricky. It’s a small piecehiding towards the back of the room. Head past the stove and turn right. You’ll find this tiny pieceby a paper penguin and a stack of books.
There are certainly a lot of objects lying around Bonnie’s room. It can be overwhelming, but not all of them will be used for this quest. Focus on the ones Buzz asks for and you’ll do fine.
Once you’ve collected all the track pieces, it’s time toreturn to Buzz. While all the pieces have been put in the right places,they’re not at the right heights. To fix that, you’ll need to find gifts Bonnie received: theMagic Growing Cactuses. They can help raise the pieces into place so you can rescue Woody.
Where To Find The Magic Growing Cactuses
The Magic Growing Cactuses arescattered about the room, much like the Race Car Track Pieces. You’ve likely spotted them already in your previous search, but here is thelocation of each cactus.
Magic Growing Cactus One Location
The first cactus isby the footstoolyou use to reach Buzz. It’sin front of Bonnie’s bed, slightly to the left. It’s bright red, waiting for you to pick it up.
Magic Growing Cactus Two Location
The second cactus ishiding in the corner of the room, by Bonnie’s closet. From the portal,head left towards the nightstand,and past the closet to find theyellow cactus sitting on the floorbetween a green box and the corner.
Magic Growing Cactus Three Location
The third cactus isinside the closet, right in front of Bonnie’s backpack. It’s just before the shelf divider. Grab thegreen cactus toyand head back out.
Magic Growing Cactus Four Location
The fourth cactus istowards the back of the room. You’ll find itbetween a few pieces of track, just before the play mat pieces. Itlooks like a blue disk, so add it to your inventory and head off to pick up the last cactus.
Magic Growing Cactus Five Location
The last cactus isin the very back of Bonnie’s room, past the table and bookshelf, next to the stack of play mat pieces. Pick it up andget ready to place themall under the Race Car Track pieces that need a little help.
Where To Place The Magic Growing Cactuses
Now thatyou’ve found all five Magic Growing Cactuses, it’s time to place them. There arethree locations to place the cactusesaround the room.
Don’t worry about which cactuses go where. The game will tell you which ones to use when you open the menu to place them under the track pieces.
Placement One Location
The first track piece isdirectly next to the red slide. Walk over andplace two of the cactusesunderneath.
Placement Two Location
The second track piece isin front of the portal to the Dream Castle. Head over andplace two cactusesbeneath the piece.
Placement Three Location
The last track piece isby Bonnie’s closet. This pieceonly requires one cactusto hold it in place.
How To Make The Magic Growing Cactus Grow
Once the cactuses are in place,equip your Royal Watering Canand get to work. You’ll need towater each pieceof the track to get the cactuses.
You don’t need to water each individual cactus. When you approach the track pieces, the entire piece plus the cactus(es) will light up, signaling you to water them.
Where To Find Bonnie’s Drawings
Once you’ve watered the cactuses,talk to Buzz. He’ll instruct you toclimb the ladder by the stoveand push the red race car along the track.
You’llwatch the car go along the elaborate trackand fly towards the window. The plan works and the window unlocks.
Now that the plan has succeeded,head over to Woody. He’s grateful for your help, but there’s still work to be done.
Bonnie and her family are on vacation, and she wants to put on a play when she gets back. Unfortunately, things got a little messed up andthe toys need your helpto put it all back together.
To help, your mission is totake pictures of Bonnie’s Drawingsaround the room. They’ve been drawn oncolorful construction paper and have star stickerson them.
These pictures willhelp Buzz and Woodyplan how to restore Bonnie’s room, andthere are four to find.
Bonnie’s Drawing One Location
The first one isby the end tablenext to Bonnie’s bed.Go past the closetand you’ll see it leaning against a green box.Take a quick snapand move on to the next drawing.
Bonnie’s Drawing Two Location
The second drawing isinside Bonnie’s closet, on the left. Enter the closet,take a picture, and hurry back out to find the rest.
Bonnie’s Drawing Three Location
The third drawing is under the table,on the bookshelf, hanging behind books and a toy train.Pose for your pictureand head back to find the last drawing.
Bonnie’s Drawing Four Location
The last drawing is just out of reach, but you’re able to still catch it with your camera. It’shanging on the wallto the left of the stove, so take your picture with it before returning totalk to Buzz.
It is possible to take a picture with this drawing by standing on the table where you first met Buzz, however, the camera doesn’t always register that you’ve collected the image. If you’re having trouble, try taking the picture from the ground.
Once you have all the pictures, Buzz tells youhe needs to find a few more thingsto fix up Bonnie’s room. This is where youinvite him to the valley, where he can likely find those last couple of items.
How To Unlock Buzz Lightyear
He agrees to go to the village, but you’ll need tobuild him a home. His only request is that it has a hyperdrive.
Go back to the village andplace his RVanywhere you’d like. You’ll need totalk to Scrooge and pay 10,000 star coinsto build it.
With Buzz’s RV in the village, you canwelcome the Space Ranger to Dreamlight Valley. After taking your picture with the fireworks,talk to Buzz one more timeto complete the quest.
He’s surprised to see you so big, but he’s happy to be here nonetheless.
